How Insane Are Job Postings? Let Me Demonstrate.
Submitted by The Aspie Corner on Wed, 05/16/2018 - 9:56amThis one is particularly laughable because they want a Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin. or HR before they'll even consider talking to you.

What did I apply for? Helpdesk. That usually involves repairing PC hardware or troubleshooting software, which I actually have experience AND education in, you know, in addition to database and web programming.
That is a question I've been asking myself for the last 6 years. I literally had professors say "Oh yeah, the tech field is booming, dude bro. It ain't going away." Yet, no matter how many resumes, cover letters or references I put out there, all I get for my trouble is shit.
And by 'They', I mean employers. I received this email not long after applying for what could be described as an entry level position:
Thanks for your interest in the Clerical Support position at Home Health Care of Florida. We have reviewed your application. Unfortunately, you are not the right fit for the position at this time.
I am sorry for the disappointing news. Best of luck in your job search.

It doesn't do me any good anyway. Never has. Never will. I'm like this guy. Very little pleasure in doing most things and damned even when I try to do something 'useful'. It's all in vain.
So, like I said, I'll just shut up for a while.
This is specialist number...6? 7? In the last 6 fucking years? You gotta love Flawer'Duh's Voc Rehab vendors. They want people with disabilities to get degrees and certifications, and yet when it comes time to place said clients...well, they don't have a fucking clue as to how, or where, to do it.
I've written about these thoughts before, but this bears repeating. The tech industry has nothing to offer anyone unless you're an H1B visa holder with 20 years experience in software and hardware that have only been out for 6 months. That can probably be said for a lot of industries nowadays.

For those of you pushing the mass shooting conspiracy bullshit, I have a question for you: What would the capitalists have to gain by perpetrating such things? The first answer we always get is 2nd amendment repeal and disarmament to prevent revolution. Bullshit.
