Of course, I was 4 years old then. I was on my Dad's shoulders when he shook Bobby's hand at the airport. But yeah, anyway WOOHOO!
One of the reasons I haven't totally abandoned the GOS is being an Admin. at Street Prophets. For those who don't know me from there I thought I'd cross post so you could met the head of the household. It is rather sad that the number of people who wanted to come to a safe diary. This is about Linux, and regret, and re-creation. Eventually. But first some essay house-opening. And some mulling. I sort of stumbled onto a spot by accident (after midnight and open to comments) so there wasn't much of an introduction.
Thomas Jefferson said that for the good of democracy we need "a little rebellion now and then."
The political system is corrupt, and trying to fix our choices between a hard-right candidate and a fully-fledged fascist.
Nuts to that.
As President Jefferson would suggest, let's rebel instead. Consider signing the Move-on petition below to encourage Sen. Sanders to continue his campaign beyond the primary, if necessary, as an independent.

Even though this organization is apparently different, separate and apart from the Great Orange Shyteheel, there remains in the minds of many, some sort of connection and tie.
In order to stay sane, sometimes it is better to look at the trajectory we've been on from a purely anthropological point of view; as a witness of history and human behavior.

A lot is being said and written about how the primary is over (or should be over) and that we have a nominee. There are some folks that keep reminding us that the math is daunting or impossible, and that our uphill battle will not be won. Well, 2 things about that: they are missing the forest for the trees and/or they don’t seem to understand this revolution.
Some people, yes those dreaded "some" people, we all know some, anyway some people (I'm really making this up entirely because I haven't asked anyone at all) got discouraged and despondent after Tuesday the 15th, for electoral reasons among others.
I started feeling strangely right after the Miracle of Michigan. It was as though comprehending a win caused my mind to lose focus and then I felt lost.
Not the first time I've been scattered during Bernie Sanders' campaign.
It's my first day. It's my first post. I unfortunately live with a political junky, so it's all up in my face, which is a good thing, anything that provokes thought is good, yeah?
I haven't seen the point in voicing my opinion in the past but this election has me feeling like any voice of reason is better than the loudest voices in the room right now.
