Pharmacological management of transgender patients

Meghan Ross, Senior Associate Editor of Pharmacy Times, has written a call for Pharmacists to educate themselves on the "unique needs" of transgender patients: 5 Ways Pharmacists Can Help Transgender Patients

Transgender patients have unique health needs, but few health care professionals have received adequate training on how to best care for these patients.

--Ross

Bryan Bishop, PharmD, BCPS, clinical assistant professor at the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, recently wrote about pharmacotherapy considerations in the management of transgender patients in Pharmacotherapy.

Not being a peruser of that no-doubt fine journal, I'm glad Ms. Ross is.

Hillary's Filibuster

Here's a quick diary with video, of Hillary's filibuster during the last debate. I am putting it here to counter the Clinton's never-ending narrative that Bernie is a rude, sexist guy. I have to admit, it made me laugh at first, but it quickly started pissing me off. I hope it helps in dispelling the myth, or for that matter, the smear, that the Clintonites are recently pushing. Enjoy.

Hostile Takeover or Third Party?

I wrote this over several days to add to a discussion that has surfaced and resurfaced, but now I can’t find where it is so I am doing it this way. (Two weeks ago, I didn’t know blog from fog. Now I am following three sites so please bear with me.) It is entirely possible that everything here has been said. If so, please simply count it as a recommendation for those or regard it as a hypothetical possibility. I find that I cannot avoid saying it.

Primary Angst and other ramblings...

I was watching Flash Gordon (yes, that awful Dino De Laurentiis trainwreck from the 80’s) again the other day, relaxing on a bad weather day and snuggling with the dogs. Quite frankly, its one of my go-to, Saturday afternoon favorites when I want to veg for a bit. Watching Timothy Dalton try to maintain some crumb of dignity in the midst of all that horrific, mega-campy acting (?), painfully bad dialogue, and beyond cheesy scenery is just nirvana for me. “Flash! I love you!
