magic-carpet-ride-funny-pictures-small.jpg

We're featuring the NY polls every day until the election in two weeks on 19 April. NY has 247 delegates at stake. Plus, the little matter of momentum and narrative. Bernie met the delegate math target in his WI win of 57%. He'll receive another little bounce in Wyoming this weekend and then the magic carpet flies high as it can to get over the NY wall. Below are the graphs from Huffpo. Also, Steppenwolf.

Activism: Protestors Sock It To CIA Director At Penn

Good morning my friends. I bring good news. The kids are all right. Our youngsters gave the Deep State Rep, John Brennan (Unelected Bipartisan Party), whatfor yesterday as he was speechifying away to drum up the case for more, and more profitable wars.

Bernie's Magic Carpet Ride To Victory Began In The Bronx Last Night

Good morning my dear friends, here is the first of what will be an avalanche of good Bernie news from here on out. The Bernie campaign turned the corner last night and the magic carpet ride is on. "All right, G! What are we smoking today?" :=) I've watched a whole lotta Bernie speeches. Last night's speech was in a whole different league. Remember the pleas for Bernie to "draw the contrasts" sharper? Heh, heh, heh, if you watched last night's speech, you woulda done the same chair dancing I did. He waited until NYC. Why? Bernie is smarter than us.

2016 Global Temps Send Shockwaves Through Climate Scientists

Hi Folks, I've been away. (You've all been real busy here! w00t!) Only to return with shocking news on global temperature records in 2016. You may well ask, "WTF, G! We're not even three months into 2016 and winter just ended last week (although tell that to the Great Lakes region, eh)?"
Well, dear friends, it is pretty bad. How bad? See more below.

The Makings of a Passionate Progressive

This Sunday (March 27th) for many people is the celebration of Easter and rebirth or resurrection. For me it is the second time in my lifetime that my birthday falls on Easter. I'll be 68. It hardly seems possible that I made it that long. I remember a conversation with my Dad a long time ago when I told him I wanted to go into politics and help people. He told me not to since I wear my heart of my sleeve and I could do more from behind the scenes.

Toward a No Party System, Part 1: Party Power is Problematic

Here's a fact: progressives are a minority in the Democratic Party. Or, at least, a minority of its voters. This is true for a variety of reasons that are far too many and too complicated to fit inside a single blog post. It's a great way to start a related conversation, though: moving on from traditional party machine politics.

Still and forever a Democrat

I understand some of the rhetoric. I've been there. Heck, I'll be 68 in 22 days. How could I not have been where you feel you are now.

When I was 18, I was a McCarthy supporter, but was deemed too young to vote. One might think that would be enough to put me off the whole concept of voting right there.

I backed McGovern in 1972. We know how that worked out.
