Ages ago it was suggested (By somebody other than JtC) that somebody else, specifically moi, post periodic fundraisers for the site. So. My calendar says it is time for me to do so.
...and a notification of some down time.
We still haven't heard from either of them and under the circumstances that is understandable.
Since right after the recent California fires the plan has been to raise some funds with the goal of getting some supplies or whatever may be needed directly to our friends who have been affected.
I have all these repeating entries on my calendar, into perpetuity until changed. Under today's date, I find, among other things, in all caps for emphasis and with an "all day" bright color bar:
We all should have and still should, raise a fuss and a holler, as it were. Hell my family didn't even have a car to borrow for a chunk of my youth and I couldn't have borrowed it to go a riding on Sunday

By now just about everyone who lingers over these pages has read (and commented on) c99p's phenomenal success and growth. It's truly an amazing thing and a most hospitable locale to read and write. Well, with growth and maturity comes responsibility. Or so I've been told. Can't lay claim to the maturity part, but I've heard it enough times to take it as a truism.
