How much trouble are the Democrats in?

Progressives have an unusual ally in the effort to root out the corruption in the DNC - Republicans.
Lately I've been seeing a lot of articles pushing back against the idea of the Democratic Party changing their focus for reasons of race.
Some of the articles come from a place obviously motivated by fear, such as this one.
A recent poll showed that two-thirds of Americans think the Democrats are out of touch — including nearly half of Democrats.
Chuck Schumer had a public eleventh-hour epiphany:
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer sent a thinly veiled message to Hillary Clinton, saying that “you blame yourself” if you “lose to somebody who has 40 percent popularity.” Schumer never explicitly mentioned Clinton but there was little doubt who he was talking about while discussing the broad effort by the Democratic Party to come up with a new messaging strategy ahead of next year’s midterm elections.
“When you lose to somebody who has 40 percent popularity, you don’t blame other things — Comey, Russia — you blame yourself,” Schumer said in an interview with the Washington Post.
dems vomit out shitty slogans because they can't name that which is afflicting people's lives without upsetting their rolodex of donors.

Good news! The wise and learned Democratic establishment leadership has decided to share with us what principles the party will stand for.
Aren't you excited!?!
Most people don't like Republicans or their policies.
However, Democrats still haven't given people reason to vote.
Eight months since the election, and six months since Trump entered the White House and nothing important has changed.
Consider this poll.
It appears that “I mean, have you seen the other guys?” wasn't the final product.
It's been eight months since that catastrophic election defeat and the Dems, just like the Hillary campaign, still don't stand for something.
