The two questions for this test are:
1. Are there any other schools of economic thought missing from this graphic?
2. Which of the schools of economic thought have actually resulted in creating a functioning national economy with some degree of general prosperity?
Memorial Day focuses on death and physical injury. Some folk also understand PTSD. What is almost never mentioned is the universal damage military service does to people. You hear that it "builds character" and similar excuses for the harm it does.
To see what I am getting at you have to step out of the box they put us all in. War has been with us since the country began and it is no wonder that it is a basis for our culture.

Here is the new and refined super-duper, non-partisan, all-weather list of demands to lob at people who propose to represent us.
To review, briefly, these are (intended to be) populist (things that resonate across parties and ideologies), medium-term demands.
I tried to focus on demands that, if realized, would put power back into the hands of the 99% such that a larger transformation of government is possible for us.
I winnowed the list down to 10 demands, reduced some of the wordings where I could and added a few things that people suggested in the comments a couple of weeks ago.
For this round of comment, if you feel that something vital is missing, please suggest either folding it into another demand or replacing one of the demands.
When we've got some sort of general consensus on the list of demands, we'll put it up as a document that can be linked to, tweeted, facebooked or printed out and mailed or distributed at candidate events, etc. I'll also write a short introduction that can be posted by way of explanation for people who don't regularly participate on C99 about the demands and how to use them and we'll post that for linking as well.

In July the General Synod of the Church of England will vote on creation of a special service to celebrate a transgender Christian's transition.
The controversial motion has dismayed traditionalists, who say the Bible teaches that gender is God-given.
We've all been driven into the political wilderness by recent events, but it's been coming a long time. At least since Dwight D. Eisenhower gave his most important and most famous speech on Jan. 17, 1961.

While I'm there, I thought I might share some memories of some of the musicians that have made this long running festival so special. I think I've been going to the festival for about 30 years. I was amazed my first year at the Florida Folk Festival to hear so many songs about Florida. They not only wrote their own pieces but also sang each others songs.
According to police, [A, perhaps, mentally ill assailant], 35, stabbed Taliesin Myrddin Namkai Meche and two other men after they came to the aid of two girls who were being harassed (by said assailant) for being Muslim.
Deputy Defense Secretary Robert Work sent out a memo on May 8 to all service secretaries and chiefs that they have a May 31 dedline to assess the military's readiness to begin accepting transgender applicants on July 1.
Folks, I'm not seeing a lot of point to all this discussion unless we can get some real answers. I mean, why bother?
