CPAC gives a rare public look at Bannonism's claim to the "deconstruction of the administrative state"

CPAC had some actual Deconstruction unlike Bannon's riff on nationalist deregulation
"Bannon is a near-constant presence every time cameras cover a Trump press conference or follow the president into the Oval Office. He has gained a place on the “principals committee” of the National Security Council, elevating him above the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff and the director of national intelligence."

Kumbaya in the bunker ...

Steve Bannon and Reince Priebus appeared in a joint interview at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) outside Washington, D.C. and the former provided a glimpse of the crypto-fascist mentality that informs POTUS45* and his White House.

It was quite unlike the pageant queen’s interview segment where “world peace” was the main goal for a winner or her runner-up.

Breaking Points

In my life I've been very, very fortunate. I've gotten to points at which I thought I would NEVER make it past without severe damage to my mind and body.

These points may seem trivial to some, but they're an examination of how hard you have to fight at least on a personal level, to make it past those events that you have considered nightmare scenarios. There will be a point afterwords, I promise.

Immigration - not the hill I want to die on

Trump's immigration/deportation exercises are getting a lot of pushback from the liberal community. Frankly, I find myself wanting to feel that this issue is really important, but honestly, I just don't give much of a shit about it. All countries have borders and many of them are far more strict about controlling immigration than the US. I don't see anyone actually advocating open borders, which I could understand at least for the functional consistency of it.

There are good people out there

You might find this hard to believe if you spend all your time watching the news of even perusing the various political forums and soicla media platforms on the internet. There the desire the demonize and label people evil, bad or "deplorable is strong. It can, if you let it, cause you to lose all faith on the kindness of strangers.
