W00t! Gerrit's back. How the hell are we?

I hope you're all well and flourishing. It's Labour Day Weekend. My summer was busy and yours? I've been gardening in the friggin' heat of climate change. The plants have gone magoo: they love tropical Ontario. I have a salad forest, several beds of vegie jungle, runaway sunflowers, and oh the tomatoes. Be happy for me: Ive got ten new rosa rugosa plants - from seed. More hello below.

Chicago, 1999: "Niggers By the Pound"

In 1999, at the end of the Clinton administration in the Democratic stronghold of Chicago, a series of articles by the Chicago Tribune, covered the gross racist injustices of the "justice" system. Literally legalized lynching of innocent people by the "system" while white prosecutors laughed and played courtroom games to see who could lynch the most Black youth.

Attack dogs and pepper spray....private cops....again?

The oligarchy does not change. Only the faces are new. They have done this and worse over the years. The sham democracy is being exposed again in so many ways yet some still are foolish enough to cling to the illusion.-

I watched a recent video from the people's protest of the pipeline. Some really fine Americans are out there fighting for you and I. We need to get behind them and stand alongside them in what ever way we can.

The Weekly Watch

Another week flies by. The media of mass distraction has everyone talking about an athlete who refuses to stand for a song honoring war and supposedly our nation. Meanwhile a duly elected president was impeached by senators fearing investigation of their own corruption a week after the world participated in Games in Brazil...and the world makes no comment on the coup. The drip of leaks continues to keep the $hill in hiding, and the media misleads folks about Jill.

The Great Wall (Of Ice)

I feel somewhat compelled to be specific. Not the big pile of masonry in the Western part of China that you can see from Space. Not the huuge beautiful one on the Southern border of the United States that the Mexicans are going to pay for. Nope, the every bit as ambitious and likely to be just as ineffectual one in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, around the rotting radioactive ruins of the Daiichi Power Station.

For 5 and a bit years now ground water has been flooding in through the holes in the 3 containment units that suffered a nuclear melt down. There would have been more but those were the only ones in operation at the time. The water in turn has become quite radioactive itself and they've been pumping it into rusty and leaking tanks that now occupy most of the space at the site.

Well, they still have no idea what to do about that, but for the last couple of years or so they've been trying to cut off the incoming streams by freezing the soil to permafrost. How's that working out for them?

Communism on the March!

(Part 42, wherein we once again attack the practice of Mega-Coroprations expropriating Public Assets and marketing them for their own profit.)

Comerades! Our glorious Socialist Revolution once again advances against Capitalist Imperialism under the banner of our Trotskyite leader, Jeremy Corbyn!

His Radical Plan to actually make Public Scientific Research... well, Public will surely bring the Running Dogs and their Dead Parrot Media to their Knees!

Knees! I tells yah.
