Sundance at Conservative Treehouse examines two explosive developments.

Sundance chronicles and analyzes everything Spygate, RussiaGate, and UkraineGate at a level that informs readers probably better than any other journalistic source.

Two essays today, along with several excellent comments, are especially fascinating. The first speaks to the importance of Julian Assange's interview with congressman Dana Rohrabacher about the source of the DNC emails. The second responds to an extraordinary letter from prosecutors to Michael Flynn's attorney admitting the prosecutors goofed up.

There is a lot to read here, especially if you can devote time to the comments. But this is the kind of homework the American people are going to have to do if the Deep State narrative is ever to be discounted. Lots to ponder.

… To understand the risk that Julian Assange represented to CIA interests, it is important to understand just how extensive the operations of the CIA were in 2016.

It is within this network of foreign and domestic operations where FBI Agent Peter Strzok is clearly working as a bridge between the CIA and FBI operations...

DOJ Makes Jaw-Dropping Admission in Flynn Case – Prosecution “Mistakenly” Attributed Wrong Notes to Wrong FBI Agents….
Posted on November 5, 2019 by sundance

WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT – Prosecutor Brandon Van Grack sends a letter to Flynn’s defense team today containing a stunning, almost impossible to comprehend, admission of a mistake central to the claims of the prosecution. In March 2018 the FBI presented notes taken by agents Pientka and Strzok, now they say they made a ‘mistake’.

For almost two years the DOJ misidentified, misattributed, and never corrected that the authors of the Flynn interview notes were actually reversed. All of the notes attributed to FBI Agent Peter Strzok actually were taken by FBI Agent Joseph Pientka, and vice-versa...

@QMS

I haven't been following the Michael Flynn case closely, but his new attorney has apparently filed to receive all kinds of background evidence. The sudden discovery that the case was improperly prepared in the first place may be a way for the prosecution to avoid providing the background evidence in the hopes the judge will just throw out the case. Hmm...

but I came away with why then is Trump still going after Assange? At least that was my take from it. Someone from VIPs spoke to Pompeo about the DNC computer leaks, but I haven't heard if anything came from it. I remember reading that Rohrabacher went to speak with Assange too and that he was supposed to have spoken with Trump about what he learned. Is the CIA going around Trump to get Assange or is Trump fully on board with it? Hey. Maybe democrats could look into the quid pro quo between us and Ecuador. We gave them $10 billion and they let Assange be arrested out of their embassy.

Your questions are huge:

... why then is Trump still going after Assange? … Is the CIA going around Trump to get Assange or is Trump fully on board with it?

Trump is enigmatic when it comes to doing things in opposition to what he has said or done. We're getting out of Syria, complete with strong reasons for leaving, for other countries to pony up, and for ending endless wars. Then suddenly we're staying. Taking the oil. From the beginning it has seemed that he repeats what has been said to him most recently. So if the good military advisers speak to him on Monday, we're leaving Syria. If the CIA is speaking to him on Tuesday, we're staying for oil.

So I have no good answer for why he wouldn't protect Assange, knowing Assange could put the Deep State in the slammer. Perhaps the Deep State still has operatives who have (somehow) gained Trump's trust.

On the other hand, maybe Trump is protecting Assange. Maybe it would be a certain death sentence for Assange to be released.

@Linda Wood

Page is on record saying that she changed the 302 report on Flynn's interview which is what his lawyer is contesting. Comey and others in the FBI didn't think he lied, but they went ahead and charged him anyway. IIRC he had every right to talk to foreign leaders during the transition like every other president's campaign has done before. Remember Reagan made a deal with Iran to hold on to the hostages until after the election. Why wasn't he charged for that

Assange could put the Deep State in the slammer. Perhaps the Deep State still has operatives who have (somehow) gained Trump's trust.

I guess it depends on how interested Trump is in taking down the deep state actors that are trying to remove him? But you're probably right about Trump listening to the last person who he talks to. His supporters think that he has arrested Assange to keep him safe. But he was safe in the embassy and he is getting very sick in prison so that doesn't make sense. Time will tell...

I'm fixated on physical evidence these days. So, here's a link in return to John Solomon Reports. Solomon makes it a point to post the actual evidence of what he is reporting so the public can review it.

The link above goes to a new report titled, "Hunter Biden’s Ukraine gas firm pressed Obama administration to end corruption allegations, memos show."

Hunter Biden and his Ukrainian gas firm colleagues had multiple contacts with the Obama State Department during the 2016 election cycle, including one just a month before Vice President Joe Biden forced Ukraine to fire the prosecutor investigating his son’s company for corruption, newly released memos show.

Hunter Biden’s name, in fact, was specifically invoked by the Burisma representative as a reason the State Department should help, according to a series of email exchanges among U.S. officials trying to arrange the meeting. The subject line for the email exchanges read simply “Burisma.”

The documents clearly show that Hunter Biden, his business partner and Burisma’s legal team were able to secure contacts inside the State Department, including to one of his father’s most trusted aides, to Secretary Kerry and to the agency’s top energy official.

The question now is: Did any of those contacts prompt further action or have anything to do with Joe Biden’s conduct in Ukraine in March 2016 when he forced Shokin’s firing?

.
Lots of people openly furious at Solomon.

@Pluto's Republic

I have read so many articles about how they were involved in the corruption there that I'm wondering what will happen if the truth ever gets out. We gave Ukraine lots of tax payer money to fix the corrupt things that were happening after the coup and that a lot of it went in to people's pockets instead of where it was supposed to go. Biden is accused of taking millions for himself as well as others.

The head of Burisma was bent as all get out and the U.K. had cases against him, but we intervened and protected him. Solomon has been doing some great writing on this and yeah I can see why people are upset with him. Of course the whole show started when Obama overthrew the president and then installed the puppet Poroshenko who was connected to Hillary and lots of people at Langley when he lived in Virginia. He was put in so he would open the country up to outside interests. The people there paid the price. Lots of people want Ukraine to join NATO. RT has an article on how if we put nukes there Russia would have to respond to it. The nuclear clock is inching closer to midnight. One minute before? Damn fools!
