Hey, it's songday. I pick a song that I believe warrants it and publish an assortment of the covers of that song by various persons and or groups. Pick a few that are new to you and have a listen. It is also, of course, an open thread to talk about anything you feel like.

I would volunteer, but I am a large-ish monthly financial supporter of c99. And deadlines are all in the past, except for the Big One, and I seem to be awake. Yes! No nuclear wars, yet!

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

@riverlover Hey, thanks and thanks for dropping in. I don't mind writing them, in fact, I enjoy it except for the time it takes sometimes being hard to find, but I can't always be here to tend them. In fact, we're expecting house guests tonite and they and we are taking off, probably incommunicado, for about 11 days Tuesday or so, so some of these will be unattended, though they are already scheduled.

@joe shikspack Hey Joe, thanks. It sounds pretty interesting so far. I also forgot the version by Super Super Blues Band, which I have now included below this comment.

Denver Women's March to grab some lunch. This is huge in every sense of the word- they were expecting 40,000, but this is much, much bigger...

During the scheduled march up in Mentone. We watched Amy's broadcast of the DC march...a little to much $hill for me. Michael Moore spoke, but his speech in NY the other night was better (13 min)

I did not attend the local or grab the 3AM buses from Ithaca. The group seemed to all have purple caps to stay unified in DC. Touching.

@riverlover in here, of course. Purple caps sounds cool, though I tend to favor hard hats, just one of those things.
