A thought occurred to me. Since the pentagon wants to convert domestic auto makers into
weapons manufacturers and the Chinese restrict sales of rare earth for dual use (weapons)
it makes sense to sell the more efficient Chinese automobiles here. They are much cheaper
(provided they are not tariffed to death) and better for the environment.

Turns out that there's a horrific glut on 40 to 55 foot cats in the Caribbean. A couple of more years and some of these could easily be made into houseboats along the southern and southeastern coasts, if anybody is interested. Not much room for much of a grden, however, but hey, one's own almost beachfront villa. Just park it in some well sheltered marina and watch the sea level rise all around you. Just beware the ones with the bad bulkhead.
