Update: This essay was posted before I learned of the three police officers killed in what is being described as an ambush in Baton Rouge today. My heart goes out to the officers and their families.
At the gym in my apartment complex the other day this guy was watching O'Reilly Factor the day of the attacks in Nice, France...hoo boy. Of course, he had Trumpy Boy on the phone talking about how 'we need to stomp these guys into the ground' blah blah blah, but the entire show was just him and his idiot guests ranting about how Obama should have done 'more' to stop this shit.
"How many Blacks have to have their homes, children, neighborhood, or lives stolen without recourse before someone acts out his rage? How much Israeli-styled occupation policing and graphic videos of police murders is enough for a person to feel hatred for those that do these things?"
Progressives may have a huge threat at our doorstep.
Insidiously, contradictorily (some might say) and despite people's best efforts, the Shillary endorsement by Bernie Sanders last week seems to have let loose an unexpected scourge: the Cognitive Dissonance virus, up until now contained to Shillary and Trump fans…seems to have escaped all quarantine efforts and is now taking out us Berners.
I can no longer stand to watch "Meet the Press", "Face the Nation", or other corporate media voices. For others of you who feel the same, but would like watch (listen to) a reasonable discussion, here's about an hour of news I think is worth watching.
