Since we have been discussing a more video-oriented open news thread and since this week and next week, during the conventions, Stephen Colbert is going to provide coverage, I thought I'd post as I have time for these two weeks. Consider this an experiment as we mull over the best way to present video news.
It struck me two nights ago, in fact. I don't know why, but I started to think about Bernie Sanders saying he'd do anything to defeat Donald Trump. Anything.
Well before endorsing Hillary Clinton, Sanders kept repeating statements like this one:
Really. I mean, I know that it is difficult for people who are not transgender to understand what it feels or means to be transgender, because it is a non-feeling to them, but Ben Carson purports to be the "smartest guy in the room."
But all he is proving is that he is the dumbest "smart guy" in Cleveland.
In an interview with The Hill newspaper, Carson felt it necessary to share his views on transgender. As is usually the case for Carson, his synapses appear not to be firing in good order at the time.

We are about to see the end point of the Democratic Party scam that they called a "Primary". The Republicans are doing their version and the theater just gets more and more sickening.
Stealing the First Lady's speech has caused another wave of reaction to the well established disregard for truth or ethics that should be expected by now.
Despite all the pleas for unity, and all the denials that nothing sketchy happened in the primary elections to affect the outcome, and the we Berners are just sore losers, mopre and more studies are coming to the conclusion that electoral fraud did occur and it overwhelmingly benefited Hillary Clinton.
