How to Protest Hillary's Coronation on Social Media

We cannot all be in Philadelphia, either inside the convention hall as brave Bernie delegates making their voices heard on our behalf, or outside protesting in the streets. But we can do something else, especially those of us on social media, particularly Twitter and Facebook.

Here is what I am asking all of you with social media accounts to do.

ON TWITTER

This is Hillary Clinton's official twitter handle (i.e., her username): @HillaryClinton

Guess tonight is the Apocalypse?

There is this:

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – City officials are urging residents and Democratic National Convention demonstrators to take caution because of potential strong storms and the possibility of flash floods throughout the region today.

The flash flood watch begins at 2 p.m. and continues through Friday at 7 p.m.

Officials warn some of the storms may contain torrential rainfall and result in a localized flash flood threat.

Democrats : Words vs. Actions (Update - Hillary Clarifies "Right")

(Today's update appears at the bottom of this essay)
********
In the last couple of days I have heard both Elijah Cummings and President Obama at the Democratic Convention say that as part of the next great pragmatic jump forward, Democrats have evolved to the point where they can aver officially and unequivocally that "healthcare is a right" in their 2016 platform.

Troll Diary Outline and Format (DO NOT DISTRIBUTE)

Opening Statement: Use appeals to decency, and state something along the lines of knowing that your opinion is unpopular but all you're asking for is somebody to listen. Liberals eat that shit up.

Statement of Support for Liberal Position: If you're going for the shame angle, this is a very good point to obviously insert the minority status of your sock puppet. Bonus points for multiples, but don't go overboard, otherwise it becomes far too obvious.

Sanders isn't going to be a Lion in the Senate

He's not going to be treated well by Democrats in the next session. Given the extent and depth of the corruption the Democratic Party engaged in this primary to scuttle Sanders, and the humiliation he's endured at such a high-profile event as the Convention, how can one conclude otherwise? I want very much for people to not pin too much hope on Sanders' power and effectiveness in the Senate.

The Troll's Message

Lunachickie wrote a good essay on this topic yesterday. I am going to add to it a bit.

There are intentional trolls, there are paid trolls, and there are those of us who unwittingly write a troll message. Probably all of us who write essays and comments write a tiny troll message at some point - even if we don't mean to do it.
