How to Protest Hillary's Coronation on Social Media

We cannot all be in Philadelphia, either inside the convention hall as brave Bernie delegates making their voices heard on our behalf, or outside protesting in the streets. But we can do something else, especially those of us on social media, particularly Twitter and Facebook.

Here is what I am asking all of you with social media accounts to do.

ON TWITTER

This is Hillary Clinton's official twitter handle (i.e., her username): @HillaryClinton

If you have a Twitter account, copy and paste her twitter username, @HillaryClinton, into the box for a new tweet, and send her your message today and tonight as often as you can.

I am not going to tell you what to say to her. If you like, embed videos of the street protests, or of the Bernie delegates who walked out or spoke out against the DNC and her. Or add videos of Nina Turner, Bernie, or anything else that relates to why you do not support her unethical, corrupt and possibly illegal selection as the Democratic Party's nominee.

Here is one I just did:

https://twitter.com/StevenDBT/status/758703354654654464

Next retweet your own tweet and tag followers or people you know or even mainstream media. Again, here is my retweet of the above:

Pretty simple really. Wash, rinse repeat. Here's another one I just did:

If you want to embed videos in your tweet to @HillaryClinton, but don't know how to do that, go to this link.

https://support.twitter.com/articles/20172128#

To learn how to post an image or gif in a tweet go to this link:

https://support.twitter.com/articles/20156423#

ON FACEBOOK

Now, if you are on Facebook but not twitter, it isn't quite as straight forward. Hillary has no Facebook page on which you can post a comment expressing your views of her.

However, there are ways to share and spread the message that you do not and will not support her, etc.

For example, you can find a tweet, like the two of mine above, and copy the link to one of them. Then post that link as your status on your Facebook page. Tag any of your friends if you wish asking them to share it on their Facebook pages. Here is the post of my first tweet at my FB home page:

https://www.facebook.com/steven.d.searls/posts/10154230745741276

If you don't know how to copy a tweet link, watch this video:

[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHhDp5Md5mI]

So, that's not too hard. And trust me it feels good to add your voice to the millions of others who do not want Hillary. She's obviously not going to read them, but that's not the point.

All protests are symbolic statements of opposition to injustice, and I for one can think of no injustice to our democracy this year more worthy of protest than the one Hillary, her big money donors and the corrupt DNC apparatus, led by Debbie Wasserman Schultz, committed when they colluded to steal the nomination from Bernie Sanders.

Feel free to share my protest tweets to @HillaryClinton if you do not have a twitter account. It is also pretty easy to join twitter if you do not have an account. Go to the following link to find out how to sign up for your twitter account and get up and running.

http://www.newsjit.com/create-new-twitter-account-twitter-registration-w...

Now go and protest on social media the unjust, unfair and corrupt coronation of Hillary Clinton as the Democratic Party's nominee!

Just wait til you see what $hrillary's sycophants are doing to Bernie Sanders delegates.
Disgusting.

And she wants our vote -= may she rot someplace, if the floods tonight don't get her first.
Of course, she'll say she had nothing to do with it Wink

I was just watching that video, Caerus -- amazing! How is what the Dems are doing any different than Chris Christie telling his underlings to block traffic as revenge?

I hate to sound like those nutsack birthers who are always whining about wanting their country back -- but I do!! I want the USA where voters get to choose a candidate and candidates do at least a little something for the voters. Maybe that's a myth and it never existed, really -- but I don't think things were this bad when I was a kid. At least the lying/stealing/grifting wasn't so in your face.

What complete jerks those DNC folks are. Do they actually expect anyone to vote for them with behavior like this?

I would convey to her something along this line:

DNC cheating for you makes your win suspect. Can't reward a cheater with my vote.

If you have an alternate candidate that you support. That will send a VERY clear message.

https://twitter.com/Detroit15 for example.

When I was a kid, Republicans used to red scare people, now it's the Democrats. I am getting too damn old for this crap!

I'm not on fb, or twitter, just an ole luddite, but love your creative energy, enthusiasm. Thank you.

Hope your daughter is feeling well now too.

Click on the red Subscribe button, then share the clips provided on the right. I usually choose the shorter clips, because of my opinion of the attention span of the average social media user. Smile I share these to fb and tw.

Jill Stein action on youtube has increased exponentially over the last couple of days. It looks like we're going to reach a million hits [over the last 48 hours] by the end of today.

Won't this drive up HRC traffic numbers? How about posting positive posts on Jill's pages to boost her traffic, and a Jill money bomb?

I don't think negative posts about HRC today is a bad idea. Do as you wish, though.

are yours posted?

Because you can't see her timeline, just what has been posted by someone working for her. Posts to her username would only be visible to the account holder unless they respond or retweet them. That is how twitter works.

This is done as a protest so that hopefully thousands of tweets calling her out for all the shit she's done in in her life are showing up on her timeline and also getting shared by others on twitter. When someone retweets me I get a notification of that and often I retweet them back or other people retweet them and by that means people can continue to push their own messages sent out.

I don't care that we can't see her timeline. I care that someone has to see it though, but more importantly that we have a focus for getting our messages to her out.

Trust me, I haven't used twitter much until recently, and it is its own little weird animal, but it can spread memes very quickly.

Might I suggest tweets or FB messages or good fashioned letters to your local Democratic officials as well? The Democratic party chairman, I think that who it was, came to my door--I am registered WFP--for a signature for WFP endorsement for a state legislator and I gave him an earful. No profanity, no personal attack, but I let him know I would not, no how, never vote for his presidential candidate.

I am getting my thoughts in order for a letter to the editor detailing my opinion of Mme.C.

Rulers rule through their subordinates, who sometimes can be a weak link.
