Green Party

We need to demand realignment, not a third party.

I think we ought to be referring to our ultimate goal as that of "realignment." "Third party" is the phrase the Establishment to denigrate our cause and pronounce us as insignificant. Ideally we should want the Green Party to be a second party; the Democratic Party will be the other national party, absorbing the Clintonites and the establishment Republicans under one banner (hint: they're already doing this now).

Political Parties are anachronisms and stand in the way of progress. That's why I'm supporting Jill Stein and the Green Party in 2016.

I wrote an essay some time ago, Election reform and voter rights: a legislative agenda, in which the first two paragraphs read:

Suggestions for 1999 for Stein Moneybomb?

Hi all,

So I wanted to hear if anyone has any input for the "19.99 for Stein" Moneybomb on Tuesday, July 19th.

I have posted this at https://www.reddit.com/r/jillstein/ and then in the open thread, but wanted to get some input,
and continue to spread the word.

So
1. A goal of $199,000, what do you all think? Is that doable?

Moneybomb for Jill Stein - $19.99 on July 19th – Let's help presidential candidate Jill Stein get on state ballots and build up name recognition

Let's have a “1999 for Stein” Moneybomb on Tuesday, July 19th for Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein. The 99 cents is to show that we want candidates who represent the 99%, not just the 1%.

Jill Stein spending six days in Burlington, Vt beginning today. What's up?

Really interesting chess going on. In video below Claudia Stauber gives a very interesting analysis of Bernie's and Jill's recent moves. Take a look at Jill's events page. Vermont is a great place to vacation but the timing here is just a little suspicious.

Transform the Democratic Party from within? Not gonna happen.

With all the discussion around reform, the political revolution and how to proceed I think it behooves us to understand what we may be getting into. One agenda for moving forward includes taking over or at least expanding our footprint within the Democratic Party. It's a sound idea: start at the local level and take over the party organization, get candidates who are progressives elected as democrats, and bob's your uncle.

$29, $27, $26.99, $19.99 or $29.99 for Stein - What do you all think? (updated title)

I saw a comment the other day where someone suggested contributing $29 for Stein because it rhymes and is a small contribution (well, depending on your income), and that sounded like a good idea. Then, I read that many of the donations to Jill Stein these past few days have been $27 reflecting the Revolution.

I also posted this idea at the Jill Stein Reddit, but I was thinking I might get a little more thoughtful discussion here.

Helping Jill Stein get on State Ballots - Many Deadlines in July and August
