DNC

Bernie, the Convention, and Glass-Steagall

Maybe I heard this wrong--because that's been a problem. Although I didn't actually "sell my soul for rock and roll" I certainly paid for it with my ears. At any rate, I had the pleasure of seeing Bernie address an extremely enthusiast audience inNew York City on June 23, 2016. My apologies to any c99'ers who many have commented on this speech already, although I didn't perceive any essays whose title referenced that event.

This from Tim Canova...

This is a portion of the email I received yesterday evening from Tim Canova:

"Debbie Wasserman Schultz -- voted down progressive values like Medicare for All, an indexed to inflation $15 minimum wage, a moratorium to ban fracking, and an amendment to stop the TPP."

And there you have it, there it is. Now, Hillary can just blame Wasserman-Schultz.

Mail In Propaganda

So I'm apparently a local leader. At least, that's what the latest letter accompanying a "survey" from the DNC says I am. Certainly is news to me. But it did get me wondering exactly how many people here have ever gotten one of these before. So, for those who don't receive this little piece of propaganda, I thought it'd be nice to share it here.

The main part of the accompanying letter reads as follows:

Ersatz Avenue: Dem Party Takeover is Unrealistic

Like many others, I have been hanging on every statement made by Bernie and his campaign since the Primaries 'ended'. He has chosen his words carefully, using semantics which most of the time leave room for an interpretation other than "he will eventually concede and endorse".

The Purpose of All Trump All the Time and why it needs to stop

In the last few days a hack of DNC information has been posted to the web in a variety of places including 'proper mainstream media entities" such as the Washington Post as well as a variety of blogs. A good bit of the hack, known as Guccifer 2.0, was provided to wikileaks and there is huge internet musing on what it may be.

Some questions and thoughts in preparation for the Bernie town hall

So, I threw my back out and couldn’t sit for long at the computer—and on the same day, my computer started turning itself off abruptly every time it booted up! (I think there may be a fan/overheating problem). I’m now relegated to my laptop, and relatively short stints at keyboard.

First Post here - DNC Platform

Keith Ellison is a member of the DNC Platform Drafting Committee. He is one of Bernie's picks. So it may not be a surprise that he is showing interest in what real people have to say.

I posted information on his request on another blog for which I am a guest author (OK, a regular guest author). Here is the link:
