Russian hackers hit DNC.

I'm not a diary writer. Just wanted to point this story out to everyone. The news report did not mention the RNC. DWS better get her walking papers and soon!

I am no super internet sleuth. Your post got me to do a little more digging though. This story looks pretty solid but one that we should probably look at a little skeptically.
Interesting that Infowars is working on debunking this? What is their angle?

The poster said something stupid about the emails were going to be released. That was what I was commenting about. The poster changed the title. That made my comment stupid, So, fuck it, I redacted it.

I never changed the title of this post. I have also sent you a private message. You completely misunderstood what I wrote. That's okay. Still, a fact is a fact. Other commenters are writing similar thoughts to what I expressed.

Chill PriceRip--let's try to stay positive and unified. There are much more important things to think positively on other than being negative about what someone wrote on the internet.
50+ human beings were slaughtered in the most inhumane way a couple days ago the right-wing are dealing with their hate for all things Muslim and grappling with the inconsistency of hating Muslims and gays at the same time. Most people are missing the important part of this story--the helpers.

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” Fred (Mr) Rogers

Let's all work together to move this shit forward and positively and leave minor squabbles to those who aren't helping our progress anyway.

NPR news said that Russian hackers got into the DNC's Van research on Donald Trump. That is pretty specific. Announcer did not clarify if the hackers were government or private hackers. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

on its front page. Just scroll down a tiny bit. They hacked in to the Democratic National Committee's (DNC) computer. The article says they were in there for a year, saw research, emails, and chats.

Have a look. www.washingtonpost.com

this will be interesting

Reliable intelligence sources in the West have indicated that warnings had been received that the Russian Government could in the near future release the text of email messages intercepted from U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server from the time she was U.S. Secretary of State. The release would, the messaging indicated, prove that Secretary Clinton had, in fact, laid open U.S. secrets to foreign interception by putting highly-classified Government reports onto a private server in violation of U.S. law, and that, as suspected, the server had been targeted and hacked by foreign intelligence services.

The reports indicated that the decision as to whether to reveal the intercepts would be made by Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, and it was possible that the release would, if made, be through a third party, such as Wikileaks. The apparent message from Moscow, through the intelligence community, seemed to indicate frustration with the pace of the official U.S. Department of Justice investigation into the so-called server scandal, which seemed to offer prima facie evidence that U.S. law had been violated by Mrs Clinton’s decision to use a private server through which to conduct official and often highly-secret communications during her time as Secretary of State. U.S. sources indicated that the extensive Deptartment of Justice probe was more focused on the possibility that the private server was used to protect messaging in which Secretary Clinton allegedly discussed quid pro quo transactions with private donors to the Clinton Foundation in exchange for influence on U.S. policy.

The Russian possession of the intercepts, however, was designed also to show that, apart from violating U.S. law in the fundamental handling of classified documents (which Sec. Clinton had alleged was no worse than the mishandling of a few documents by CIA Director David Petraeus or Clinton’s National Security Advisor Sandy Berger), the traffic included highly-classified materials which had their classification headers stripped.

flatly stating something that we have not been given solid evidence for except "officials say", about an issue, Russia, that is being propagandized to death by the imperialists, without any links or any editorial?

I think this is ridiculous.

definitely said they were hacked. On the Clinton email issue, since the server was basically wide open, it's not only conceivable, but likely that the Russians hacked it, along with every other country that had any security chops. Some strong "leaks" are bubbling up, again targeting the Russians as the source, and they appear to be taken quite seriously, as per Naked Capitalism:

I'm sticking to comments. I wrote "Russian hackers hit DNC." I left it wide open as to where the hackers came from. I didn't know if they were kids, Putin's people or whatever. My words show that fact. Done with diaries, for sure! Plus, I was indicating that DWS is an incompetent idiot! I didn't even get into a discussion of $hrill's "damned emails." Lawdy!
