This year's presidential primaries were the most interesting in memory.
Simultaneously they brought much needed discussion to long-avoided issues, while at the same time exposed just how farcical and corrupt our political system is.

Submitted by Steven D on Wed, 06/08/2016 - 4:35pmAfter reading underwriter505's first essay here, I was dismayed to discover that the DNC Platform Drafting Committee sent two emails requesting feedback from Democratic party members on issues to be addressed by the party's platform.
Clinton's Voter Suppression Tactic Worked In California
Submitted by bikingforkarma on Wed, 06/08/2016 - 2:58pmFor all the posturing and projecting about how hopeless the California campaign was for Sanders, the Clintonistas betrayed their insecurity and fear by how far they were willing to go to win California.
As poll after poll showed a neck-and-neck race, the Clinton team got desperate and seems to have coordinated with AP to call the race a day early.

As I was saying before the election hypnotized so many
Submitted by don mikulecky on Wed, 06/08/2016 - 12:36pmElections in our system are a very clever distraction from the "man behind the curtain" (actually a bad meme because it implies individual human acts replace systems forces). California Primary - A Case of Highway Robbery
Submitted by Steven D on Wed, 06/08/2016 - 9:49amYes, Virginia, elections are stolen, and it isn't just the Republicans who do it. It is a bi-partisan effort. Yesterday, hundreds of thousands of voters in California were disenfranchised. Let's review the evidence shall we, beginning with this report in the LA Times, "'It was just chaos': Broken machines, incomplete voter rolls leave some wondering whether their ballots will count":
