He's on CBS, he's not likely to go full pro-Bernie. I wasn't expecting that from him.

But he said the WikiLeaks proved the DNC colluded with Hillary all along. He didn't try to say they were a Russian plot.

He said the "eat my butt" staffer is the first indication that the Dems can compete with Trump.

He said Michelle Obama's speech proved that everyone thinks Michelle Obama should be the first female President.

I'm paraphrasing, I can't listen and comment at the same time.

It sounded to me like he would say anything for the sake of the joke. Since the jokes flew at the expense of both Bernie and Hillary, it sounded like something only a team of writers could dream up.

I was much, much more disappointed by Sarah Silverman at the convention.

But I will listen more carefully for the rest of this week and post a warning for those who don't want to listen if he says anything pro-Hillary.

Young Turks are moving toward liking (or pretending to like) Hillary, and that is disappointing. But fortunately, they do not insist upon unity in the ranks. They provide a rundown of what happened during the day, more complete than Colbert's rundown. Then at 8:15 or so, Jimmy tells his side of it. A snippet:

"While you're growing up and selling out, we're going to punch a hippie."

Brilliant!

of that - IOW, mocking the excuse they always use, he's not a real Dem. I also thought he had some sympathy for the crying women, which I hadn't heard anything about until he reported on them. There were a few lines I mention above that I thought were funny. There were also some I thought were not funny. That's comedy - sometimes it falls flat.

Did you think he was funny last week?

These conventions are long and grueling. I just want a quick roundup of what happened each day, and maybe get a chuckle or two along the way.

Go watch Tim Kaine's opponent from 2012. That's much funnier.
