If Kos were a corporation,

I suspect his bored of managers would be taking steps to forcibly remove him.
If Kos were a part of a partnership, I could see the others getting a restraining order.
If Kos were half the genius he thinks he is, he'd be up for a Nobel prize,
If Kos were a realist, he'd be begging people for forgiveness for his ineffable stupidity. But, too late, and too unlikely that he would ever blame the one person who destroyed his site.

It was just a matter of time.
It was just a matter of time. I always thought he was a self serving ass and did not read his diaries. I visited the site for the other posts. Left the site in March and never looked back, it has been great visiting this site.
dKos is just like HRC - Pay-To-Play
Every time you donate via one of their links they must take some off for themselves - in just this cycle alone $5 million plus?
Here is their page 1 of 13 pages on ACT BLUE doing fundraising:
Here is their fund raising pitch:
Contribute now to Daily Kos
Daily Kos is the largest progressive political publication in the country. Our email list recently crested the 1.8 million subscriber mark. Our site reaches 10 million unique readers every month. We reach twice as many people more via social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter. We provide a million community members with a platform to report news, connect with each other and make change in their communities.
And we have real successes to point to, such as raising over $2 million for great candidates so far this year. On policy, our advocacy work was specifically cited by CNN as the catalyst for filibuster reform.
And we have just 47 staff members who help make it all happen.
Meanwhile, the economics of online publishing are in flux. Ad revenue, which once supported the bulk of our activities, is no longer able to fund operations. In fact, community support has become more important to our ability to operate than advertising revenue.
If you wish to donate by mail instead, please send a check to Daily Kos, PO Box 70036, Oakland, CA, 94612. Contributions to Daily Kos are not tax deductible.

Yes, I've ignored all those fundraisers forever. I was thinking
about making a donation before he started DK5, then said no way, I'm not funding that dysfunctional piece of crap. I was one of many beta testers whose critiques went ignored and they went on and put a new platform in place regardless of its lack of functionality anyway. Of course, now that he has gone over to the Dark Queen, I'm glad I am such a difficult person to persuade to donate!!

If Kos were a corporation, he'd be getting a bonus...
He successfully made money while driving the company into the ground. All that's left is to declare bankruptcy and buy another blog.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
I've taken to calling DKos 'Corporate' these days. We should
revoke their charter. It's usefulness has run its course.

I was going to tell you that nobody's that stupid. But I'd be wrong if I did.

dead people and stupid people have a lot in common.
When someone dies all their friends gather around and mourn, but the dead person doesn't know they're dead.

Limited Liability Company ... close
Kos is fairly corporate i.e. Kos Media, LLC
According to the Calif. Secretary of State's
business database, Kos Media, LLC, was registered with that state on 11/18/2004. The notice-of-process contact is someone called Will Rockafellow. (Whaaaaaaaaat?)
Business entity number is 200432710019. "Jurisdiction" is Delaware (America's corporate offshore, where minimal information will be revealed to inquiring eyes). The California business address is Suite #206 at 2930 Shattuck Ave. in Berkeley.
As of last February, that suite was listed on a real estate website as a "creative/loft property for lease." It has also been listed in business directories as the address for an obscure radiotelephone communications outfit called "Canelope Systems," which I did not find in the California business database.
Delaware Secretary of State database conforms Kos Media, LLC, was registered there 11/17/2004. File number 3882497. Notice of process contact is Incorporating Services, Ltd., 3500 South Dupont Highway, Dover.
in general, corporations are required to register in each separate state where they maintain a business location. Many maintain a primary registration in Delaware which accepts registrations from businesses located anywhere.

THX for the research, O Muse of Music --
When Cicero had finished speaking, the people said “How well he spoke”.
When Demosthenes had finished speaking, the people said “Let us march”.
Last February was I think after
Kos moved the offices to downtown Oakland (not sure where but they've got a nice view IIRC from the pics he posted). Probably a bit more upscale (as well as a decent commute -- not sure how close the Shattuck location was to the Richmond BART line, but the Oakland location is close to both the Richmond and Pittsburg/Baypoint lines; thought about applying for an admin job if I wasn't stuck here in the South Bay).
Will Rockafellow I think might be one of Kos' lawyers -- probably in his name to protect Kos' family assets if something goes seriously wrong (like alienating the majority of his audience)...
Addendum
Will Rockafellow profile on Bloomberg.

Said to have a B.A. in journalism. They don't say from where. Kos Media LLC apparently has moved down the street to 2342 Shattuck.

They moved the HQ
from Berkeley to Oakland last summer.

Some of the few writers there have turned into complete...I can't even use the word. I'm drunk and should probably chill for a mo.

The only one I have any respect for anymore is Meteor Blades
for his environmental posts.
The others I don't want to miss are OPOL, FooW, BNR, and Monday Night Cancer Club, that I have an affinity for and have written for (and hopefully will continue to write).
I keep out of rox/sux diaries altogether.
I know many here have urged "me/us" to boycott TOP altogether, but for the above reasons I just can't do that quite yet.
There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.
I still respect Tom Tomorrow and the other cartoonists.
Although I do wonder if the other cartoonists ever think to themselves, “Well, this is a fine kettle of fish. Ted Rall was right. When they came for Ted Rall, I said nothing because I was not Ted Rall . . .”

a deliberate pun?
