Sara R and winglion from TOP Need your help!

Please check out this story I just posted at TOP.

Sara R and winglion are getting reading for a Kickstarter, to put them on the path to a healthy financial future, but they aren't ready to do that until later this month.

Sara R is going under the knife again THIS FRIDAY, and I know it would help her immensely if she could do that with some peace of mind about their looming bills.

#HelpProgressivesWin special edition: The Community Quilt Project needs your HELP TODAY!

Every little bit will help.

Thanks for your care and attention.

For those of us who prefer not to go over there, but still want to help, will you link to their Kickstarter when it is up? Thanks.

We are on schedule to post the Kickstarter for PootiePads later this month.

Here's the link to the current donation drive, for those who prefer not to visit TOP.

I only posted this because I know they are terribly worried about finances, so close to being able to stand on their going forward.

When we do the launch, both I and Sara R and winglion will be posting non-stop everywhere online as often as possible, so that they will have a SUCCESSFUL Kickstart for the Quilting/PootiePads business.

Watch for those stories and links near the last week of May.

Thanks so much, angie

They create such incredible works of art with their quilts I just can't fathom why artists and crafters aren't the elite in this country.

I'll write them some snail mail with a check. I'm so sorry they are hurting.

Musicians, people who teach meditation, healthy living, etc. None of them live this close to the edge. They have health care, are able to teach classes, take off time to raise children, own homes...it is possible when priorities are to promote the general welfare(as our Constitution says) not just enrich defense contractor cronies.

I also do creative work(dye silk scarves, tie dye shirts, crochet, quilt) and I closed my little online shop last year. The best thing to help me would have been a $15 minimum wage, so the people who like to buy handcrafted had a little extra money after paying for basics. I donate to fundraiser auctions, so keep me in mind for that. For now, I just make a lot and give things away. I do not depend on it for survival(am fortunate, very fortunate). One of the most talented tie dyers I know lives in his van in North Carolina, unable to do his work. He does these beautiful mandalas that I have used in quilts.

I have a friend who lives in Denmark as well.. He, too, was a grocery clerk and I had a comparison of our lives... I once mentioned I had to find someone to cover my shift because I was sick. He was shocked, for starters that's a manager's duty and secondly because I should have been resting instead of fretting.

But we just had the windstorm from hell this weekend. 70-90mph winds and my backyard is covered with trees limbs and twigs of all sizes. I have no way to haul them away or the physical ability to clean them up so I'm going to have to hire someone to help me out.
And of course I fall in the category where I don't have the extra money for emergencies.
People who are sentenced to community service could help, but they are unreliable.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

snoopydawg,

you might consider contacting a local Boy Scout org and asking for some help. Those young men can be very helpful when asked!
