Another week of mostly sunny skies and temps on the 70s. We did get a little rain in the wee hours Tuesday morning. Gas went up another 10¢ this week to $5.79 a gal. Got my mail in ballot for the June primary the other day. 61 candidates running for governor . None of them worth my vote.
The San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa park is celebrating it's 100th anniversary this year. In it's honor the museum has an exhibit of artists renderings of the museum. Not part of the exhibit are my attempt to imitate their art.

Gas here in the Portland metro area are pushing $6 at the big legasy oil company stations. $5.29 at the discount stations.

My long term clients are retiring their sail boat and switching to a Fleming.
Out with the old ..
In with the new ..
Doing the last cruise this summer visiting North Sea ports and will ship her back here this fall. Took care of her for about 15 years. Kinda sad to see her go, but is more practical in their dotage I suppose.

Making decisions on a cost/benefit ratio

Wife is happy because more space. When they pulled
the trigger, the fella lamented going to the dark side.
A sailor at heart, it pained him to commission a new build
in China. Took 2 years and untold millions of $. Gotta do what
ya' gotta do I guess? Fortunately, I don't have to make those types
of decisions. Gotta live with the consequences. Pretty sure he would
have preferred to stay in the sailing mode. But compromise and such.
Will prolly oversee the care of the vessel once she returns.
