War Upon War...

Open Thread Image_1.jpg

TPTB have China in their sights, and the propaganda is cranking up...spy balloons, the "CHINA" flu, they're sending weapons to Ukraine (as if we are not?), they are going to invade Taiwan (their own province)...you get the idea. The proxy war against Russia in Ukraine isn't going well for the west, and several leaders called out the NATO nations in India this week. American arrogance isn't selling well across they world. Then we have another ongoing war... against us, we the people, by the global elite who are certain they know how we should live and behave. They have an agenda planned.
This graphic illustrates the propaganda message...

Talk about projection

Let's start with US/NATO aggression against China...
TENSIONS RISING US CHINA | Let's Talk China | Cyrus Janssen The Duran & Reporterfy (1.5 hours)

"The Future of the World Hangs in the Balance"
The USA and China are currently in a tense standoff, as tensions between the two countries have been escalating over a range of issues including trade, and military activity in the South China Sea. Many are concerned that the situation could lead to a full-blown war between the two countries.
The two countries have been engaged in an escalating trade war. The US has accused China of unfair trade practices, while China has retaliated with tariffs of its own. Both sides have threatened more action, and the possibility of a conflict between these two powerful nations is growing.
China's paper U.S. Hegemony and Its Perils is worth a scan.
The essay discussed the Arab Spring, US interference in Latin America including the CIA coup in Chile and attempts to undermine the government of Cuba and Venezuela, and the number of “color revolutions” in former Soviet states such as Ukraine, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan. It went on to condemn how Washington weaponizes the subject of democracy and forces countries to take sides, branded the US a country “characterized by violence and expansion” that crushes its opponents with sanctions and “economic coercion” and claimed the (US) dollar of being “the main source of instability and uncertainty in the world economy.”

Brian at the New Atlas uses UN documents to prove Taiwan is part of China.
US Claims Chinese "Incursion" Near Taiwan, US Sells Taiwan Millions in Arms as Next Proxy War Brews

- Despite the US inferring that Taiwan is an autonomous, independent entity from China, Taiwan depends entirely on the US for political and military support without which Taiwan will fully reintegrate with the rest of China;
- The US State Department officially recognizes Taiwan as part of China and explicitly does not recognize its independence, yet unofficially deliberately undermines China’s sovereignty over Taiwan;
- US announced a recent arms sale to Taiwan forces including weapons for its fleet of US-made F-16 fighters;
- US policy think tanks admit that Taiwan forces both in the air and at sea will be eliminated almost immediately in any conflict with the rest of China and will not play a role in subsequent fighting;
- The US sends weapons to Taiwan to override both its official stance on Taiwan as well as the UN’s stance in enduring contravention of international law;
- The US is rushing to provoke a conflict with China over Taiwan before the 2025-2030 window closes after which the US will be unable to win any armed confrontation with China;
- The US desire to use Taiwan as a proxy against the rest of China follows the same foreign policy template as its proxy war with Russia in Ukraine.

The spy balloon story was comical. China responds that the US are the primary spies. (2 min)

Though the U.S. always frames itself as a victim of spying, it's no secret that the country is actually the world's biggest spy power with the world's widest intelligence network.

Ukraine...and global views

Raisina Dialogue (30 min): Russian FM Lavrov Hits Out At West And NATO
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov participated in Raisina Dialogue 2023 on Friday in New Delhi. In conversation with Sunjoy Joshi, chairman of the Observer Research Foundation, Lavrov accused NATO of violating its commitments and supplying more weapons to Ukraine in the ongoing Russia- Ukraine war. Further, Lavrov also shared Russia's energy policy plans in which he said that it would be "oriented towards reliable and credible partners, and India and China are certainly one of them".
"More weapons only lead to more shelling, and ultimately, devastation," said Sergey Lavrov.
Lavrov has strongly accused Ukraine of starting the war against Donbas. While lashing out at the West over their support for Ukraine, Lavrov said that the West's tactic of imposing sanctions is merely a "policy of blackmail". He further asked why no questions were asked to the United States about what is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan and whether they are certain of what the US is doing. In Russia's defence, Lavrov also said: "They don’t remember when Serbia was bombed. Joe Biden (US President) being a senator at that time was bragging that I promoted this approach. He also recalled: "When Iraq was ruined as a state, Tony Blair said, 'It was a mistake'".
"The global sufferings are related to the sanctions, the policy of blackmail, and the diktat that the West is promoting. They are not related to what Russia is doing," he said. Further, he added, "Everyone asks when will Russia negotiate, but the West wants Russia’s strategic defeat."
Lavrov asserted that everyone has been asking Russia to negotiate in the Russia-Ukraine war, however, no country has asked Zelenskyy "when he's going to negotiate". While using the Raisina Dialogue platform, the Russian FM shared that the Ukrainian president had signed a document making it a criminal offence to negotiate with Russia as long as Putin is president. "Can you ask him (Zelenskyy), what he's doing?" asked Lavrov. Did the G20 ever reflect on the other issues, asked Lavrov while talking about the Russia-Ukraine war. He said: "There is nothing other than Ukraine that is of importance in this G20, (hosted by India this year)... if that's the case then it is a shame for G20. "

Scott Ritter is back after a year as we build a chronology of the events of the Russia-Ukraine War so far. What were Russia's goals? Did they succeed or fail? What were NATO's goals? Why did Russia's initial offensive not bring a negotiation? Why did sanctions on Russia fail? How can we determine who is winning or losing when war propaganda is this thick? We even have a little debate about the issues around which an antiwar movement could try to reconstitute itself. Negotiations to end this war? Scott thinks no. Arms control? Scott thinks maybe.

A new study finds that having had Covid provides at least as much immunity as two doses of the Covid vaccine. This comes from the Lancet medical journal. The journal reviewed 65 prior studies that concluded that prior infection can be considered inoculation. Not only did natural exposure provide immunity as well as the vaccines, it also provided “protection against severe disease… for all variants.” This is something that the medical community has long-since known and yet experts still advised people who had Covid to get vaccinated without exception in the U.S.

@Lookout (at the risk of bumping into Poe's Law)

I found that this video described so well what and why we had such a kerfluffle over the cootie response. Why it had so much of an impact on my life and indirectly toward my lifestyle and my dealing with the changing circumstances as I age. BTW, aging is inevitable, getting old is not and in fact isn't measured in years. (personal opinion)

Anyway, I won't get into the content of the video because I agree with it too much. Instead I think I might use it to present my anecdotal exeprience with it. First, thread that grabbed me (paraphrased) I pulled at: "It appears that there are a number of different entities which have been involved in our current circumstances and no one understands how their independent actions all fit." Ie, no one in charge.

Anyway, when I looked at the youtube comments, one popped out at me (the thread above):

What Russell is describing is essentially the globalist version of Jerry Pournelle's Iron Law Of Bureaucracy -

"In any bureaucratic organization there will be two kinds of people: First, there will be those who are devoted to the goals of the organization. Examples are dedicated classroom teachers in an educational bureaucracy, many of the engineers and launch technicians and scientists at NASA, even some agricultural scientists and advisors in the former Soviet Union collective farming administration. Secondly, there will be those dedicated to the organization itself. Examples are many of the administrators in the education system, many professors of education, many teachers union officials, much of the NASA headquarters staff, etc. The Iron Law states that in every case the second group will gain and keep control of the organization. It will write the rules, and control promotions within the organization."

Bureaucracy might sound like a minor ailment, but in fact it is quite, quite deadly when the bureaucracies are so powerful that they can prevent non-bureaucratic competition from succeeding.

I hadn't seen Pournelle's Iron Law before so I started pulling at the thread. Ah! Looks like the Mandarin idea. Big mistake... don't bother trying to google that. No, I don't care about oranges or languages or diets right now. Nor do I want to spend the next hour trying to find what I'm looking for. Ah, a pedant is mentioned... maybe that will get me closer. Nope... that's a characteristic of a mandarin. (sorry I asked).

Bureaucracies are everywhere, from families to the local HOA to the highest political entity.

And that is how I lost my last 3 jobs, a family, and ended up in the tri-cities area in an apartment. I refuse to get old and sit where someone tells me to.

Fun times... I started looking at the catalog for the community college and auditing a Python class.

Enjoy the spring, please.

Good morning LO. Thanks for the OT!

With Matt Hancock’s comment “When do we deploy he new variant.” splashed on the front page of the British Telegram, above a story of a tragic teen ‘lockdown inspired suicide’, the public’s distrust in public health and government can only grow.

Ed Dowd’s long form interview with Tucker Carlson concerning alarming increases in excess mortality in the younger working age population takes a long view from recent actuarial data can not be ignored, (except for the willfully ignorant among the ‘safe and effective’ crowd). When those who trusted the official mRNA ‘safe and effective’ narrative understand the level of betrayal and manipulation that they have been subjected to, the tinder will have been lit.

but here’s one study that shows that it’s not true.

Before COVID-19 myocarditis was rare and always alerted cardiologists to future risks of two outcomes: 1) heart failure, 2) arrythmias (ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation) leading to cardiopulmonary arrest. Buchan and colleagues reported 77 Canadian teenagers age 12-17 who needlessly suffered myopericarditis after the Pfizer mRNA vaccine. Sixty six percent occurred after dose #2 and only 7% had prior COVID-19, so the vaccine was to blame in the vast majority of cases. Hospitalization occurred in 44% and their were no deaths.

Remember that people were told that if they had long Covid that they should get jabbed and it would help them with it. There have been many studies on long Covid, but unless they separate the jabbed from the unjabbed in the study I find them useless. Before the jabs came out we weren’t hearing much about cardiac issues, but after they did is when cases exploded. Pfizer was ordered to do a study on myocarditis that was due at the end of December, but their friends in the FDA just extended the deadline for another 6 months with no explanation.

Now we are getting a media blitz on all the things that are causing heart attacks that never seemed to cause them before. Yesterday it was on how early in life women gave birth or started their periods. Gardening is suddenly a life risking activity too don’t you know because there might be something in the soil.

Hancock is responsible for the massive deaths in nursing homes and not just for not testing everyone going into them, but because of the sedatives he gave people that slowed their breathing to put it mildly and had people sign DNRs. Let me know anyone is interested in this scandal.

Matt Hancock rejected the Chief Medical Officer’s advice to test for Covid all residents going into English care homes, leaked messages seen by The Telegraph reveal.

Prof Sir Chris Whitty told the then health secretary early in April 2020, about a month into the pandemic, that there should be testing for “all going into care homes”. But Mr Hancock did not follow that guidance, telling his advisers that it “muddies the waters”.

Instead, he introduced guidance that made testing mandatory for those entering care homes from hospital, but not for those coming from the community. Prior to the guidance, care homes had been told that negative tests were not required even for hospital patients. The guidance stating that those coming in from the community should be tested was eventually introduced on Aug 14.

So much for protecting grandma. Families were forbidden to see family in nursing homes because they might infect them, but Matt didn’t care how many employees were infected or not that probably did spread infection. I don’t think ‘botched' response is accurate. I think a lot of the botched responses were intentional. Almost every country allowed people recovering from the Rona to go into nursing homes. Almost 40% of the early deaths were from nursing homes across the world.

Watched that a few days ago, very good. I've been watching Cyrus for a couple of years now. It's interesting to see him evolve from a TED talk type, to take up a more progressive stance on foreign policy especially as it concerns China.

Snoopydawg pointed out on the Saturday Potluck thread Austin's letter to the force about an aggressive China being a "generational threat," using the now typical Orwellian speak about a so called "rules based order." Meanwhile the US systematically salami slices prior agreements with China (the three communiques) and the Chinese redline over Taiwan. The generational threat image is interesting because it brings to mind not only the WWII phrase "the greatest generation" but also the generation skipping nature of US policy toward China. The US had to turn around its hostile policy to China to help extricate itself from its strategic defeat in Vietnam. Now somehow US elites imagine that something has changed in East Asia, that permits it to conduct itself in a colonial manner again, as it did during the early twentieth century, in concert with Japan and England. I see earlier "gunboat diplomacy" by the US and the same partners as one of the key roots of the Great Pacific War (WWII).

The NY Times had an article on a growing South Korean arms industry thus far not exporting to Ukraine.

They’re Exporting Billions in Arms. Just Not to Ukraine.
As traditional weapons suppliers like the U.S. face wartime production shortages, South Korea has stepped in to fill the gap, while trying not to provoke Moscow.
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/05/world/asia/ukraine-south-korea-arms.html

What is interesting about NY Times moving its Far East HQ to Seoul is that is has paired up with Joongang Daily, a major conservative South Korean media giant. Lately, multiple South Korean independent investigative media have been reporting on how Joongang, Chosun Ilbo, and Donga Media, the MSM in South Korea, (the mainstay of prior dictatorships) dominate the news cycle in South Korea, with a view toward keeping labor suppressed, social welfare policies checked, and promoting (unpopular) "conservative" pro-Japanese elite perspectives. They cooperate with the legal-judicial officials and corporate elites to repress opposition. The Times had opposed Trump's diplomatic overtures to North Korea after the "fire and fury" crisis. Unfortunately, Trump lost his nerve, backed down from MIC pressure and allowed John Bolton to sabotage the negotiations.

This morning South Korea's state subsidized MBC network ran a seven plus hour long live broadcast feed on youtube covering the escalating military crisis on the Korean peninsula. No commercials all military coverage, with undiplomatic threats exchanged back and forth between North Korea, and South Korea and the US. I think one thing that goes generally unrecognized is that crises of this nature on the Korean peninsula and between mainland China and Taiwan are historically related. It's really hard to predict where a potential war will break out first, across the Taiwan straits or on the Korean Peninsula. Superior US naval power had prevented both fronts from breaking out at the same time during the Korean conflict.

It's ironic that US official denials that the US military strategy in Korea calls for "de-capitation of North Korean command leadership" are repeatedly contradicted in the MBC broadcast which openly refer to the Special Forces operations in South Korea, as taking out North Korea's command headquarters.

(Source- MBC live news, youtube, 3.5) The caption reads... Attack on North Korean command center exercise...unprecedented publication.

The broadcast referred to the various US-ROK joint military exercises to take place this month as "the largest in five years," including "strategic assets" to signal US resolve to respond with nuclear weapons. It also showed South Korean military representatives on board a US SLBM in the US in an unprecedented visit.

All this has been an effort to distract from and compensate for, Yoon's political weaknesses, including his proven lies during his presidential campaign, his quisling status vis a vis Japan, the first lady's family corruption, the pervasive corruption of South Korean MSM, and Yoon's consistent use of judicial administration and prosecutors to persecute political opposition. In fact, it's becoming difficult to distinguish the Yoon administration from prior dictatorships in South Korea.

Kim Yo-jong, dictator Kim Jong-un's sister was quoted as saying that further continuation of provocative US ROK joint military exercises in Korea, will be viewed as a "declaration of war." I guess this is bluster, until Kim Jong-un says it himself. The latest North Korean missile launches were a two shot salvo of 600mm rocket artillery. Interestingly, the graphic MBC used showed how the respective flight tracks of two launches coincidentally showed profiles consistent with attacks on US Air Force bases in South Korea, Kunsan and Cheongju.

(Source- MBC live news, youtube, 3.5)

It's difficult to tell if this is actual video from Friday's combined air exercise over South Korean airspace, with B-1b's, South Korean F-35s and US F-16s or file footage from last year.

(Source- MBC live news, youtube, 3.5)

I scanned videos from a few South Korean independent media sources to try to determine the size of Saturday's Candlelight Movement demonstration in Seoul. I understand the demo included passing by the Japanese embassy. It was difficult to determine the size of the demo, it appeared to be smaller than earlier demonstrations, but it probably was in the tens of thousands. I suspect that threats of national security investigations against organizers has had an impact. I never see any reports of these demonstrations in South Korean or US mainstream media.

w China are an increasing concern and not to be lightly dismissed, my sense is that the greatest danger still lies in Europe and Ukraine. 75% chance at this time that things could devolve into a direct US conflict w Russia, which means WW3. This could result directly from military actions expanding beyond Ukr and into Russia, or it could involve the US, realizing Ukr is a lost cause, moving the goal posts and making Finland, Poland or Germany the center of the action.

That said, it is remarkable that with tensions greatly increased w Russia and China, there are virtually no voices in power speaking out against this madness. The so-called progressive left -- Bernie, the Squad, even Marianne Williamson, the advocate of Peace and Love except wrt Ukr -- are silent or complicit in encouraging the warmongering. With the exception of a scant few skeptics re Ukr on the far right, the GOP is doing its usual thing of accusing the Dem prez of taking a Soft on Russia attitude.

We are deep into an era of no courageous, intelligent, moral leadership to be found on either side of the aisle. Just pols bought and paid for, out to protect their own political position, afraid of crossing the national security establishment.

I would personally give Marianne Williamson a piece of my mind on all this, but I understand she no longer lives in my area.

....and it is most certainly bought. I found it humorous last week when the shitlibs were coming unglued because Woody called big pharma drug cartels that bought all the media and politicians. The warmongers own a piece of them too. And so here we are.

The end of Whitney's clip above she is asked what can we do? I liked her answer, grow a garden or link up with those who do. Consider your water supply, and so on. Sounded like me. As I mentioned in today's watch, they get most people to be compliant by offering convenience. Smart phones for example or getting the jab so you can go out to eat or be with friends.

The larger psy-op is broad and deep, and most folks are captured. As important and dangerous as the proxy war with Russia continues to be, don't sell short the risk of including China in the mix.

@Lookout @Lookout important right now for us freethinkers who want to have a chance at survival to "cultiver notre jardin" as Voltaire advised. I just wish I had started my 3-person/no pets backyard fallout shelter earlier than I did. Still might be one opening, once I get around to completing the project, for one adult who can pass a simple multiple choice test on US history and civics. I want to at least have decently interesting conversations and minimal negativity if I'm going to be stuck for a few weeks underground with 2 others.

Re China, I figure a world war will happen over Europe again as militarily the US would calculate it stands a better chance of success in that theater compared to Asia, because there has been far more public hate against Russia whipped up and for longer as compared to China, and bc there are far more hardcore Russophobes in positions of power and influence on US foreign policy than there are Sinophobes and so the bulk of the war fever will continue to be focused against Russia.

ETA: In the increasingly probable US v Russia war, China will almost certainly enter militarily on the side of Russia, because if the US is not dealt a harsh lesson, China knows it will be next.

and all of the information, LO.

Thought I'd just poke one piece of the pile

Adults in the United States under age 44 have experienced a shocking 30 percent increase in heart attack deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. What’s the cause?

; but bear with me, it's roundabout. Some quasi-fundamentals:

FIRST: Bad question, almost nothing in reality is strictly mono-causal and hence the simplistic "find a cause and cure it" kneejerk reaction at all levels is doomed to be somewhat suboptimally productive.

SECOND: Randomness exists. Corollary - there is no such thing as some randomness, ergo the universe is probabilistic

THIRD: Sardonic Law - Finagle's Law might be correct. Finagle's Law: "The universe (acts as if it) tends toward maximum perversity at all points in space-time" Corollary - inanimate objects (act as if they) are perverse.

OK -ages ago I read that no previous generation had been so massively experimented on, cradle to grave, as the boomers. Quite true, as far as it goes. Massive exposure throughout life to a vast array of toxins and disrupters delivered by contact, ingestion in food, water, air, and more, and that includes radiation, often gratuitously used as a "possible treatment" back in the early days. "Psychological trauma" of all kinds, visual/aesthetic pollution, noise pollution, alienation from nature, destruction of nature, overcrowding, constant wars, propaganda, division, certain marketing techniques, and more.

Minor detail - we were the first generation constantly bathed in all that, but not the last; younger generations have arguable been subject to more, more pervasively and more at each age bracket/life stage.

When you take people living under quasi-marginal concitions as to sanitation, health practices, available medical care and treatment, nutritional and dietary and the like and move them to a society of relative plenty the first few succeeding generations are generally larger, healthier, stronger and the like and stillbirths and ionfant mortality drop. But, this is not a hyperbolic, parabolic or exponential curve, nor even a positively sloped straight line. The benefits of better sanitation, nutrition, education, medical and dental care and all that level off unless there are equivalent improvements and enhancements at each step or stage. Hence some one of the "improved" stages becomes baseline. Against this "improved" baseline, the cumulative effects of a continual ever increasing toxic load, both physiological and psychological will lead to a regression and falling off of not only health and mental enhancement but of health and mental condition overall relative to the enhanced baseline. We have poisoned and still are poisoning all of the younger generations in innumerable ways and this will be manifested in things like inexplicable increases in physical and psychological malfunctions. In a sense, "modern life" is causing the increase in heart failures, other types of ailments and syndromes and the like if only because it includes all the stressors on the population and its members and facilitates or mandates their interraction.

DRIVERS: Constant growth as an unstated goal undeerpinning everything. It is not a sustainable model for anything except cancer, and the pressures to attain and maintain it are in and of themselves stressors and lead to the endless creation of manifold new stressors. A profit driven society, lifestyle, business model and the like, in short Capitalism can only derange things ever further as it calls forth behaviors and decisions that are simply a perverse implementatiion of the constant growth model.

the diary says:

A new study finds that having had Covid provides at least as much immunity as two doses of the Covid vaccine. This comes from the Lancet medical journal. The journal reviewed 65 prior studies that concluded that prior infection can be considered inoculation. Not only did natural exposure provide immunity as well as the vaccines, it also provided “protection against severe disease… for all variants.” This is something that the medical community has long-since known and yet experts still advised people who had Covid to get vaccinated without exception in the U.S.

I'm sure that, at this point in the game (as opposed to, say, one and a half years ago), having had covid provides a lot more immunity than any vaccine currently on offer. The catch is, of course, that to have had covid you have to have covid, which was something a lot of people did not want to risk back when covid was "original Wuhan virus," "Alpha," or "Delta." Omicron is a different ball-game.

@Lookout The viruses mutated, and the mutations achieved successive dominance according to increasing levels of contagion -- so for instance with Omicron there was an original virus, and then BA1 and BA2, and BA2 replaced BA1 and was replaced in turn by BA2.12.1, which was replaced by BA4 and BA5, and then later BA5 replaced BA4. We should consider ourselves lucky that BA5 is not like the original virus, Alpha, or Delta.

Meanwhile, as the viruses were mutating, the vaccines were subject to a law of diminishing results, such that the immunity offered by the shots lasted for smaller and smaller intervals of time the more often one was vaccinated.

@Lookout and I was quite surprised when I saw the coverage of the train protests. BTW, I noticed just over his shoulder the small group holding the Ukr flag, not very enthusiastically. Anyway, that's what got me chasing after the snooze coverage. A pretty tepid one from yahoo, hardly any from our other outlets. India had more but again, fairly tepid. Wait... I saw a cnn. False alarm, it was their India affiliate.

I also check the Eurasianist twitter regularly. It has quite a bit about the anti-Ukr protests in the Eu capitols, like the one in Moldova calling for the immediate resignation of Sandu. France and Germany are heating up also.

Anyway, I wonder about the merger of the anti-establishment movement and the anti-Ukr movements, like France merger of the yellow vest and the anti-NATO.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denounced as “unworthy” the recent comments by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi, who said any military attack on Iranian nuclear facilities would be illegal.

The chief of the UN nuclear watchdog said on Saturday that any military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities would be “illegal” and “outlawed,” as he was responding to US and Israeli threats to target them.

“I think any attack, any military attack on a nuclear facility is outlaw [sic], is out of the normative structures that we all abide by,” Grossi said at a joint news conference with the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, in Tehran.

The remarks came amid reports that the Biden administration has drawn closer to Israel in recent weeks, conducting large-scale joint military exercises with the regime as talks on the Islamic Republic’s peaceful nuclear program have hit a deadlock.

Lynching the Deplorables

There is little that unites me with those who occupied the Capitol building on Jan. 6. Their vision for America, Christian nationalism, white supremacy, blind support for Trump and embrace of reactionary fact-free conspiracy theories leaves a very wide chasm between their beliefs and mine. But that does not mean I support the judicial lynching against many of those who participated in the Jan. 6 events, a lynching that is mandating years in pretrial detention and prison for misdemeanors. Once rights become privileges, none of us are safe.

Shitlibs once stood for human rights, but 4 years of Orange Man Bad destroyed almost every principle they once had. I think this is one of the many things they have shed is the one that appalls me the most. Next is their support for censorship and they’re still being anti war as they scream for Russian blood while ignoring the many countries that their own military is in. I think shitlibs is a well deserved name for those who fit this description.

Milley made the case for Russia’s military operation during his visit to Syria. He told the troops that they have every right to be in Syria without UN permission because they are keeping ISIS from rising again and threatening America’s safety thousands of miles away from its shores. Russia has every right to defend its country from Nazism rising again right on its own border. Plus the attacks on Russian civilians and attacks on Russia itself. Iran missed its chance of getting revenge for the Iranian general that Trump murdered.

All intelligence agencies, and police forces and even madam Pelosi knew that there was going to be a huge protest in DC and plans for thousands of Trump supporters to descend there and Trump even offered DC mayor and Pelosi the national guard, but both turned him down. Then when all hell broke out the guard was offered again and again turned down because of how it would look. Well it sure looked good when the guard was finally deployed and built a fence around the capital building for weeks if not months.

Next we had the one sided kabuki dem show that selectively showed what they wanted shown and then show trials in the prejudiced kabuki courts where people got longer sentences for minor offenses. And now we have McCarthy releasing tapes to only Carlson instead of giving them to all media companies and so shitlibs are already saying that any releases are going to be deep fakes.

Meanwhile thousands of lives have been ruined and families broken up and the rule of law stands for nothing anymore. I wonder how many families lost their homes while a spouse was locked in solitary confinement for years? As Chris says this shitshow by Democrats is going to have repercussions long into the future. And the country is even more divided into us and them. The right is still questioning why the more violent blm supporters got away with so much destruction and violence.

I still think Trump was a patsy and he set his supporters up. Many had been locked in solitary confinement while he was still president and could have given every person involved a pardon.

Kucinich sorta skirted the basic issue. The system has to be changed to allow a third
party to participate in the primaries without having to jump thru impossible hoops. If this
coalition can do anything to further their ambitions, there needs to be a third choice on
all the ballots -- call it independent. How to do that, I do not know. But it would be a
powerful tool to shake up the establishment.

The FBI obtained information from human informants, social media, and other agencies and tracked suspected domestic terrorists traveling to Washington, according to the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) report (pdf).

Capitol Police officials examined information developed from arrests and investigations, as well as open sources, and distributed a document three days before Jan. 6 that conveyed a subject of an investigation had said militia members planned to attend a Jan. 6 demonstration while armed, which would violate Washington law.

Both agencies assessed threats for credibility and reported that some of the threats were deemed credible.

But both failed to properly adhere to policies for processing or sharing information, the watchdog found.

US First Lady Jill Biden has dismissed concerns about her husband’s mental acuity after Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley called for mandatory mental capacity tests for political candidates above the age of 75.

“Ridiculous,” she said to CNN in an interview set to be aired on Monday. She cited Joe Biden’s rigorous travel schedule as evidence of his effervescence, mentioning his recent surprise visit to Kiev.

“How many 30-year-olds could travel to Poland, get on the train?” she asked rhetorically. “Go nine more hours, go to Ukraine, meet with President Zelensky? (And shuffle along even though an air raid siren is going off)So, look at the man,” she added of her husband, who is 80 years old. “Look what he’s doing.
