A computer model study has suggested a higher vaccination rate in a population can be used to overcome a lower efficacy rate of a vaccine.

Vaccine Efficacy Needed for a COVID-19 Coronavirus Vaccine to Prevent or Stop an Epidemic as the Sole Intervention July 15, 2020

Simulation experiments revealed that to prevent an epidemic (reduce the peak by >99%), the vaccine efficacy has to be at least 60% when vaccination coverage is 100% (reproduction number=2.5–3.5). This vaccine efficacy threshold rises to 70% when coverage drops to 75% and up to 80% when coverage drops to 60% when reproduction number is 2.5, rising to 80% when coverage drops to 75% when the reproduction number is 3.5. To extinguish an ongoing epidemic, the vaccine efficacy has to be at least 60% when coverage is 100% and at least 80% when coverage drops to 75% to reduce the peak by 85%–86%, 61%–62%, and 32% when vaccination occurs after 5%, 15%, and 30% of the population, respectively, have already been exposed to COVID-19 coronavirus. A vaccine with an efficacy between 60% and 80% could still obviate the need for other measures under certain circumstances such as much higher, and in some cases, potentially unachievable, vaccination coverages.
Conclusions

This study found that the vaccine has to have an efficacy of at least 70% to prevent an epidemic and of at least 80% to largely extinguish an epidemic without any other measures (e.g., social distancing).

The U.S. forces in Japan now require all of their personnel to test for the coronavirus within 24 hours after their arrival in the country, the Foreign Ministry said Friday, after a cluster infection recently broke out at a U.S. base in Okinawa.

The policy change came after the forces were criticized by Japan for exempting their personnel from testing for the virus before departing from the United States, with Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi calling for the implementation of stricter measures.

USFK reported 457 locally generated coronavirus cases between Dec. 21 and Monday, and another 10 cases among recent arrivals to South Korea.

Army Col. Seth Graves, garrison commander at Camp Humphreys, the largest U.S. base overseas, in an announcement Wednesday on Facebook said the spike in cases “is like nothing we’ve seen here on the installation since the beginning of the pandemic.”

VA's Coronavirus Cases Reach All-Time High 12-30-2021

The Department of Veterans Affairs reported nearly 23,000 active cases of the coronavirus Wednesday -- more than at any other point during the pandemic.

The active case count reached 22,911 Wednesday, surpassing a high set in January. The record-breaking number of cases among VA patients reflects trends nationwide. The United States hit an all-time high this week of more than 265,000 new coronavirus cases per day on average, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

Experts blame the rapid spread on the newest coronavirus variant, Omicron, which scientists say is the most contagious strain yet. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the chief medical adviser to the president, warned Tuesday that the surge is expected to continue well into January.

In total, the VA has reported more than 405,000 positive cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began. During that time, 17,693 VA patients have died, as well as 237 agency employees.

Nearly 4 million veterans -- about 64.5% of all VA patients -- are vaccinated, according to VA data. Less than half of vaccinated veterans, about 1.2 million, have received a booster shot. Public health officials have recommended the booster shots as the best protection against the omicron variant.

The United States counted the most deaths ever in 2020.

However, statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) predict the number of deaths in 2021 will be even larger than in 2020.

Robert Anderson keeps track of deaths for the CDC.

He said when the numbers from November and December come in early next year, the deaths will be higher by about 15,000.

The CDC numbers include all deaths, including those from natural causes like old age, plus accidents like car crashes or drug overdoses.

Anderson said the deaths from COVID-19 in 2020 reached about 351,000. This year, however, the new coronavirus could be responsible for about 370,000 deaths.

COVID-19 is the nation’s number three cause of death, behind heart disease and cancer.

Experts also think the U.S. will set a record in 2021 for drug overdose deaths. The number is expected to be more than 100,000 for the first time.

What I find curious is that there are more deaths despite high rates of vaccination. How can they be seen as effective? They continue to blame the unvaxed, but there were NO vaccines in 2020 and we were all unvaxed.

Gee just imagine if government would be as concerned

about the other diseases that are killing Americans daily as they are about the Rona. Or that over 68,000 of us die every year from lack of health care period because they don’t even have access to insurance. Add in the others who do have it but don’t use it because their deductibles a so f’cking high. I’d even support them working with big pharma to tackle those diseases full bore like they have pretended to do with Rona, but make sure that their products actually work. Doesn’t Cuba have a vaccine for cancer? If so you’d think other countries would want to get in on that…oh wait there’s more money in treatments then cures. Never mind.

No matter how much we believe in the idea of "vaccines" we also see that they have a limited effect on coronaviruses. They can take us so far, but not back to normal.

Vaccines will not stop the Pandemic. They won't strengthen everyone's immune system to the same degree. They can't stop Covid-19 infections among the vaccinated. They do not make public spaces safe. Vaccines offer widely varying degrees of immune protection to individuals for a limited amount of time. But they do not offer protection to an open society. They don't eliminate the need for masks or social distancing.

The vaccines are merely a holding pattern of infection and death until an effective treatment or cure can be developed.(One that his very profitable.) China is also in a holding pattern, waiting for an effective treatment — except they are doing it without the coronavirus being present. I'm surprised they haven't come up with a cure yet.

So, we wait.

...and it certainly should not be suppressed. In fact, I think it is possible for individuals to avoid infection with what we know right now. But these methods do not scale to public health.

Nonetheless, this is still just buying time. It won't eradicate the coronavirus, which can mutate and reinfect. Society cannot return to normal when it is avoiding infection.

The virus is a long term threat. We don't talk about the fact that the virus does a great deal of long term damage to the body, even in mild and asymptomatic infections. This is not long covid. The virus sets the body up for all sorts of diseases of aging, from diabetes to Parkinsons, and several identified cancers. It causes the body to age more rapidly and will leave at least half of the infected with mental disorders. The virus may never actually leave the body. It retreats and goes dormant for a time in certain parts of the body where the immune system is not active. The science and studies are there, but no one is discussing them. All the emphasis is on the fight to protect society so the spice continues to flow.

The only reasonable goal is to make the virus extinct. Our immune systems can only be modified so far.

The causative factor in this anomaly could be the Original Antigenic Sin:

In reviewing the data again, it is very wrong to force vaccines on people with natural antibodies to Covid-19. In fact, immunity is more complete the immunity provided by the vaccines. It's is a simple matter to verify immunity and establish credentials for those who have been infected.

Omicron, unfortunately, breaks the pattern. In South Africa, constant Omicron reinfection was an issue with this variant. The studies I've looked at suggest the Omicron even wiped out or scrambled prior immunity gained through infection with an earlier variant. Personally, I believe, antibody evasion is going to become the signature of SARS-CoV-2 moving into the future. It will render the 2021 vintage vaccines ineffectual. it is altogether likely that this coronavirus will develop herd immunity to our vaccine attempts and antibody strategies well before we ever achieve herd immunity to SARS-CoV-2.

although I've only come across one or two studies and think many more studies need to be done, and much of the evidence for this won't be available until Covid has been out there a bit longer and then will be easier to detect and more difficult to ignore. So while I understand the thinking of the Jimmy Dores and some indy skeptics on the Covid Vaccines about everyone eventually getting infected and the benefits from a herd immunity/risk reduction standpoint, it seems wiser to me not to assume such a completely benign outcome, and so I will not be inclined to throw in the towel but will continue to try to ward it off to the best of my ability while continuing to live at least a 75% normal existence.

Lack of access to medical care has been shown to increase death rate among a population base. (not taking the time to find a research article for stats for claim).

coronary artery disease (CAD)

In patients with established CAD, the literature regarding the relationship between anxiety and cardiac outcomes is similarly mixed. In a recent meta-analysis of 44 studies, anxiety was significantly associated with poor cardiac outcomes, including recurrent cardiac events and mortality, in unadjusted analyses [9•]. However, when adjusting for medical and psychological covariates, nearly all of these relationships became non-significant, suggesting that while anxiety may be a good marker of poor cardiac health, other medical and psychological factors may actually explain much of the relationship between anxiety and outcomes. Well, I know about the anxiety/glaucoma link...

I've been a glaucoma suspect for 13 years.... high eye pressure, no glaucoma yet. One thing I found concerning eye pressure is that anxiety can raise it, just like blood pressure. I have white coat syndrome when I see any medical people, but my blood pressure is great at home. It took awhile for the medical evidence to come in, but my eye pressure goes up at the eye doctor's. It's most likely fine or borderline at home, which would in part explain the fact that I don't have disease progression (I also take a boatload of eye friendly supplements).

Now my point here is that anxiety is definitely a huge effect on one's health and right now I would surmise that a good portion of this country is at a level of anxiety over multiple issues, the pandemic being a major contributor.... which could explain the sudden rise in heart issues etc. It certainly makes more sense than claiming all those raises in health issues are due to the vaccines.

We really won't know all the answers for awhile. Right now we just need to get the virus numbers to a point of management if only for the sake of the medical care givers.

Unless there is a control group of unvaccinated the question of increased cardiac conditions due to anxiety alone will not be answered.

Re. dentists and what patients they see

@snoopydawg Dental work necessarily creates aerosols. An HIV+ person therefore does not pose the same risk to the dentist and hygienist and all of the next patients coming into that room that a COVID+ person does. HIV is not an aerosolized transmission; covid is. It makes perfect sense that dentists would want to take every precaution to reduce their risk of exposure. Now that fast tests are available, they can require that all patients get tested, but that’s only a recent option.

who claims that the virus spike is cytotoxic, a claim that has been heavily criticized by other scientists who also worked on the mRNA technology (Malone is not the originator of the tech nor the inventor of the vaccine).

Or you can go with RFK Jr. who is an expert on slander and whose claims about vaccines and autism went the way of the dinosaur years ago.

I provided this because there is little to no balance to this conversation, but there are people who wish to see it. Malone puts his disinformation and distortions out on plenty of venues (like Joe Rogan). He should expect blowback. In the meantime, he is trying to frighten every parent within earshot. I don't find that exemplary, nor should it be immune to criticism.

in the Rogan podcast. He even explains the lesions that happen in the brain and elsewhere in the body because the spike protein doesn’t stay in the arm injected, but travels to every organ in the body and especially in the reproductive areas. The hit jobs against him are like 1st graders grading a doctorate student’s paper. He knows what he’s talking about. He should since he’s been involved with it his entire career.

I’m only half way through the video and have learned a lot more. He got Covid, got long Covid, got jabbed twice and had severe adverse reactions to them and then got Covid again. Yeah I can see why he’s not hesitant to say what he does about the ~~vaccines~~ gene therapy. Pfizer’s own website calls them that as does Moderna and its CEO. Weird huh?

OK - I know most of you have seen the photo above- but for me, it is one that could go in my obituary.

People are writing, calling, texting me in support. I can only humbly say - thank you. I have no words -other than offering back my support for each and every one of you who is doing their part to stop the mandates, the authoritarianism, the totalitarianism, the vaccination of kids - in the face of severe adverse events, many deaths, including children and lack of data on long-term consequences. I am heartbroken for this country.

I think over the course of three hours Joe and I lay out just how dire the situation is in the USA. I know it is a long interview, but please try to get friends and family to watch or listen to this - maybe it can change some closed minds. I seriously hope so.

It showed Pfizer’s malfeasance and malpractice and IMO out right fraud. There’s no way it should have gotten even the EAU because it doesn’t do much of anything for people, but it does a lot to them. High risk for little gain. I learned why Pfizer probably won’t use the jab that got authorized, but I’ve forgotten it already. Something to do with tests I think. They don’t want to do them for all to see. I’ll have to rewatch it again. Damn memory.

Good evening, United States Citizens. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of everyday routine- the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any bloke. But in the spirit of commemoration, whereby those important events of the past, usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful bloody struggle, a celebration of a nice holiday, I thought we could mark this December the 31st by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat. There are of course those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, orders are being shouted into telephones, and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, fake disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Tony “the Jab” Fauci. He promised you immunity, he promised you life for your grandparents, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent to be vaxxed and wear a face diaper.

Tonight, I seek to end that silence. Tonight, I simply say, “No. I will not comply,” to remind this country of what it has forgotten. Almost 250 years ago great citizens wished to embed our rights onto a document that would be the law of this land. Their hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are God given rights. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you, then I would suggest you allow the 31st of December to pass unmarked. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Tony “the Jab” Fauci. He promised you immunity, he promised you life for your grandparents, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent to be vaxxed and wear a face diaper.

Tonight, I seek to end that silence. Tonight, I simply say, “No. I will not comply,” to remind this country of what it has forgotten. Almost 250 years ago great citizens wished to embed our rights onto a document that would be the law of this land. Their hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are God given rights. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you, then I would suggest you allow the 31st of December to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me and together say, “No! We will not comply. To hell with your mandates.” In this way, we shall give them a 31st of December that shall never, ever be forgot. Together we are legion. They can not win against us.

Bet it is really expensive!
The first 6 months of the pandemic did scare me. Not because I would die, but because my business would take a hit. It is my economic hit that had me scared, depressed, just wondering how I keep any normalcy going forward. I just never thought any of this shit would kill me. I have to believe I had the Alpha, according to the antibodies test. And I am not dead. (As far as I know.)
