Ladies and Gentlemen of the Daily Kos community here at caucus99percent, I am writing this as an important message to you.

The way things are going over there on the Kos, we may well be facing an oncoming problem: I fear Kos may be considering making DK into a Third Way/DLC site rather than the progressive, "storm the gates" type of Democratic site it grew up as. He's already called anyone who questions Hillary Clinton's ability to defeat Donald Trump in the general election "fucking morons" (Diary text here) and the timeouts and banhammers have been falling hard and fast on the side of the Bernie supporters.

I HAVE A REQUEST FOR YOU.

Please get to know the "ropes" of this site, caucus99percent, like the back of your hand. Should my worst fears be realized, and all non-conservas and those of us who aren't reliable acolytes of the Church of Limousine Political Correctness get hurled out into utter darkness, they will be coming here to seek the community and the refuge that is theirs by right as thinking human beings. In many cases they'll need a little help making the transition, especially if they never used DK version 4. So let's be ready to pitch in and assist if necessary.

Because I fear it may well become necessary.

thanks for the login.

i joined kos early last year, before the primary went retarded. i felt like i should, because i'd been lurking for many years. (i found dk through newshounds in like 2005, if you want a date. *date not confirmed.)

it was never my intention to turn dk into an idiotic pie fight. i didn't register for the primary. i registered because the dk i knew was a progressive outlet.

let me tell you, i'm fucking sick of safe spaces. i'm sick of objective dissent being branded misogyny, racism and "BAD" and i'm more than fucking sick of bald-faced bullshit arguments made on the back of your recently-diaried "progressive veneer". these people are not progressives, they're identity politicians who are happy to rip the democratic party apart by race, sex, or whatever purchase their talons can find rather than genuinely question their candidates.

i am not a virtue-signal clone, and i'm kind of noisy about it. i hope that's ok here.

Zeitgeistus, that to me sounds like the melting of three German words, Zeit and Geist and Faustus. I love me my Goethe and always are on the search for the current "Zeitgeist". So, welcome.

Yesterday I was asked to present my problems to a "board of directors". So, shy mimi tried to tell those serious people, what kind of questions and problems I\she had. Well, I don't know how I sound, but the first serious man responding to me, babbled something very fast that sounded like Chinese to me and apparently my facial expression must have been very telling, so that the board members erupted in laughter while the Ober-director said: "Heh, she understands your English better than your German".

English is my second language and German is my first "Gedanke".

And "the oncoming problem" struck this site last night, as the infrastructure wasn't up to the yuuuuge stream of refugees from DK that Markos' little pronunziamento sent this way.
