Debunking a Story that Never Made Any Sense

From the Trump Friendly NY Post

‘Russiagate’ was never anything more than Hillary Clinton’s paid-for lies

Newly declassified intelligence files bring fresh, hard proof that Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign completely cooked up Russiagate — a total lie that top intelligence officials nonetheless proceeded to amplify, and that all too many Democrats still believe.

These memos from the first half of 2016 center on “confidential conversations” between members of the Democratic National Committee and top staff at George Soros’ Open Society Foundations — and the info is damning.

“Julie [sic] says it will be a long-term affair to demonize Putin and Trump,” runs one quote of July 25. “Now it is good for a post-convention bounce. Later the FBI will put more oil into the fire.”

That shows a clear expectation that government agencies would be colluding in the scheme — making it far more than just a campaign trick.

Yet the campaign’s plans included “raising the theme of ‘Putin’s support for Trump’ ” and “subsequently steering public opinion toward the notion that it needs to equate” Russian influence campaigns with actual hacking of voting machines. . . .

I know people who still take the story of Trump-Putin collusion as Proven Fact. But the whole scam rests on the premise that injecting "support for Trump" into cyberspace is tampering with democracy.

We take pride in our own regime change operations. And persuading people to vote one way or another IS democracy in action.

Hmmmmmn. The pro wrestling culture now rules the world.

Russiagate was beyond a simple campaign scandal. Here is list of all the consequences.

1. Established the age of censorship we are now in. The fundamental belief was that Russian
postings on Facebook, Twitter, etc. made people change their votes. Therefore censorship
was needed to ensure the Russians did not use online hypnosis to change people.

2. Massively increased Pentagon and other government department budgets to counter Russia.

3. Made many people money if not rich. Books published. Universities research budgets on Russian bots influencing people, increased pay viewership of online bloggers like the Young Turks and Dailykos. Made Madow rich.

4. Destroyed diplomatic relations with Russia.

5. Played a role in justifying the Ukraine war. Made racism against the Russians acceptable.

6. Provided an excuse for incompetence and malfeasance of anything and everything
that went wrong.
