Fantasy Art Calendar: Street Prophets Sunday All Day Brunch
Welcome to Sunday Brunch. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. My apologies for missing getting up Thursday's Coffee Hour but I was at an emergency doctor's appointment with my brother. He has sores on his only foot and leg and we have been at the doctor's offices for the last six weeks. Fortunately they think it is under control and that they will heal if he stays off the foot. Of course it means all the progress he made with the artificial leg is out the window. Between caring for him and trying to find help for a homeless friend in Sacramento when I'm in North Carolina it is no wonder my doctor has me on double strength stress tablets and strong antidepressants. The joys of caregiving and caring for others.
I did manage in my copious spare time to get the calendar designed for next year. I make a calendar with my art work and then fill each day with mostly real but goofy holidays as well as family birthdays and anniversaries for the family members. Each year has a theme. Last year was clouds. This year I am going with a character from a fantasy short stories that I am writing. The character is the daughter of the Dragon King and her main magic is fire. Her name is Princess Jasmine. I am hoping that when we get Reid's leg healed up and he is back to working with his artificial leg which I will be decorating in steampunk when I get the time to get back to writing and the story that introduces Princess Jasmine. Here are the pictures for the 2017 calendar.

Intrigue, mayhem and a bunch of spice to you!
Made Cincinnatti (screw spellos!) chili today using ground chicken and pinto beans. For lack of education culinary, my mother always used red (kidney) beans. I tend toward pintos and pinks. But yes, cinnamon and nutmeg and pasta. Always made my NYC-raised husband suspicious. I never even tried it that way until college. Coastal.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

Next time sneak in a tablespoon of cocoa powder.
