I am still trying to contact my friend in Sacramento. She is the lady in her seventies with two cats who had her home repossessed and is now living out of her car. A mutual friend is checking to see if there is a cell phone number for her.

Several people have mentioned a Go Fund Me for her. I have never done that so I have some questions. How do you set it up and can you set it up for another person? What would my friend have to do to get the money in the account?

He has sores on his only foot and leg and we have been at the doctor's offices for the last six weeks. Fortunately they think it is under control and that they will heal if he stays off the foot.

Pixie has a loud voice when she meows. When it is close to what she thinks suppertime should be she starts yelling to me. The closer to the time she is fed the more the meow comes out NOW.

I was going to do part two of the soup recipes but unfortunately I hurt my back and can’t sit at the computer for more than a couple of minutes. My Doctor put me on new medicine and my body is getting used to it and I fell yesterday pulling a muscle in the back.

Someone suggested a thread about Chili and I just happened to have one in my files so here goes. Chili. The perfect food for Autumn weather.

In times of stress we often look to comfort food to help us get through. Comfort food is food that soothes the psyche as it provides nourishment. It often is a food that we remember from our childhood. It can be a favorite dish that was made by Mom or Grandmother. It is rarely a gourmet dish. It is just plain solid home cooking.
