Caucus Critters: Moondae Moppets: Summer Relief

Greetings, Critter Lovers! Isn't it a relief that all conventions are now over? Since it's also the first day of August, summer is on its way out, which is also a relief. Now I thought I'd offer some Beach Relief!

But first, The Recommendations:

•Our intent is to create a safe place to relax and play; please use common sense and have fun.
•Share any and all pootie/woozle/furry/feathery/leathery photos or issues that you would like.
•When it comes to problems, we may just have someone with experience who can help.
•If you would like a pic from the posts, please ask the poster. He/she may have a copyright to those pics. Many thanks.
•We love critters, so any/all photos that encourage human violence against an animal will be frowned upon and considered out of bounds!

We'z a diverse group!

So I searched for lions on the beach:

Beach lions 621134-bigthumbnail[1].jpg
"We're lyin! And sittin!"

And of course Google showed me sea lions on the beach!

Beach 992902-Sea-lions-on-the-beach-0[1].jpg
"See? Lions!"

And also tigers:

Beach pair-tigers-swimming-54390[1].jpg
"We're just like lions. Better, cuz we striped!"

And cheetahs:

Beach slide-slide-Cheetahs-on-Forest-Hall-Beach[1].jpg
"Is that cheetin?"

But then there are tourists who'd rather not see big pooties on the beach:

Beach Giraffes 16087614_7b54_1024x2000[1].jpg
"We haz keep-away sign!"

Beach raccoons 2010-6-30download068[1].jpg
"We small. Can we share Giraffe Beach?"

Don't worry, maybe big woozles can keep big pooties away:

Beach gray-wolves-on-beach-joel-sartore[1].jpg
"Pretty girl! I gives her a wolf whistle!"

Search results said these were wolves, but I don't know, some look a little husky:

Beach wolves[1].jpg
"We wolves! Trust us! Heh"

These woozles look a little more wild:

Beach foxes[1].jpg
"We smaller but feisty!"

(Surprisingly, a search for "Foxes on beach" was not just photos of pretty women)

Of course, there are big animals using the beach who are not big pooties:

Beach 70545-sea-and-beach-elephant-on-the-sea[1].jpg
"Brought our swim trunks! Heh"

Apparently this is a tourist attraction in Gabon! Srsly!

Beach _58323377_hippos624[1].jpg
"Surfing with the Hippos"

Makes us look slim by comparison, at least.

I thought I'd end with the most cooling beaches, but when I searched for penguins on the beach, guess what? Did you know they actually swim around South Africa? I did not know that!

Beach AfricanPenguinColony[2].jpg
"Why you think they call them Penguin Islands?"

So instead, here's my cool picture. Hope it helps you feel cooler!

If not, grin and bear it. Just one month to go!

Please add comments and photos below. If we disappear it's because T storms knocked out power!

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

unpredictable!

IRL, beach pooties would probably be more like this:

neat beach scenes, and critters. I especially like the photo of the huskies in the beach chairs!

Gotta run, and fix some lemonade. We just got back in from a 45-minute walk, and need to rehydrate ASAP.

Hey, I very much enjoy your Monday night 'critter roundup,' and appreciate the hard work that you put into it.

Biggrin

Have a nice evening!

Mollie

Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong.

Yep, rehydrating is the secret to surviving summer.

I'm going to have to leave soon myself. I was going to go for a walk, it's a lovely 72, but it's still storming! So I'll probably go to bed early instead.

Love the new woozle! BIG hug to Cole!!!

...ash borer infected trees being removed and Momma Rabbit and her Rabbettes in the bunny hole under the tree. Short story long we waited for the Rabbettes to leave the bunny hole before we had the trees removed. Well, looks like Momma Rabbit is back looking for her bunny hole and I don't think she's happy it is gone...or she's not quite understanding where it went. Several days in a row early in the morning this:

She's not eating the new grass we're trying to grow; she's not digging; she's certainly not hiding though when we go out to bring in the local fish-wrapper she flattens out really flat on the dirt/new grass.

I hope she goes and finds/makes a new place in the back yard, but I don't think I have much control over the situation. Maybe I'll dig a hole for her in the backyard....
