The Hill: "Democrats 'freaked out' about polls in meeting with Clinton"

Washington Free Beacon: "Senate Democrats Worried About Clinton’s Bruised Poll Numbers"

Only a handful of media outlets reported on the story, and the only ones that had positive headlines were that Politico article and those that repeated what the Clinton campaign told them.

Washington Times: "Hillary Clinton reports positive conversation with Senate Democrats at Capitol"

Or the Voice of America: "Clinton, Senate Democrats Proclaim Unity Ahead of Party Convention"

And how exactly was it a "lovefest" when this was reported in that exact same Politico article?

The topic of Clinton’s standing with the public did come up in the meeting, attendees said.

“Without going into all the details [of the meeting], there’s no question that the campaign ahead is going to be tough,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) said when asked whether Clinton’s poll numbers were addressed. “She knows it’s going to be a rocky road and she’s prepared for it. No sense that this campaign is going to be a walk in the park.”

Still, Blumenthal added: “The sense is that she really is on a path to unifying Democrats.”

Senators quizzed Clinton on her plans for battleground states — and she reciprocated by asking those with a strong social media presence to use Twitter and other outlets to rally support for her, senators said.

The Democrats already are united. The problem is that Hillary's scorched earth campaign lost everyone else.

Nervous Senate Democrats raised concerns with Hillary Clinton during a private meeting in the Capitol Thursday over a recent poll showing Donald Trump leading or tied in several battleground states.

“Some people were freaked out, they were looking down at the polls on Real Clear Politics and asking why it was so close,” said a Democratic senator who attended the meeting, referring to a website lawmakers were checking out on their personal devices.

Clinton’s response?
“She said there are other issues. People are unhappy and they don’t trust institutions,” the senator explained.

Yeah, I'm sure it's the Institutions, Hillary not you personally when you spent 4 years pushing for the TPP and then when you saw how people feel about it you say that you aren't in favor of it 'as it's written now'. How many words need to be changed for you to be in favor of it again?

The source emphasized that no one suggested that Clinton wasn’t running a strong race or questioned her performance.

Senate Democrats are especially vested in the race because they’re resting their hopes of winning back Senate control on Clinton winning in November.

Good luck with that. Imagine if you had endorsed Bernie instead and got all of his supporters voting to get him a senate majority, instead of backing the most corrupt candidate that has ever run for president.
You all knew of the baggage that she was carrying around and how much most people in this country despise the Clintons.
But don't worry too much if you lose in the next election. There's always those lobbying companies that will hire you.

This election season should have been a shoe-in for the Democrats. They -should- be "measuring the drapes" right now! I read some over there during the down time a week or two ago. Uck.... Took me five minutes to decide to download a Kindle book to give me a fix for my reading addicition. Injecting my brain with toxic waste has never been the answer.

On a good note Jill Stein made the ballot in Washington State.
