The petition should be on a public site where all can see it - EVEN the White House Occupant. The NSA will ensure all the pertinent facts about us will ends up in their archives, but they don't like to share what they know with We the People.
I don't mean to discourage you, but it's the truth. Politicians will pay them lip service, but in the end they will never pay attention or do what the people actually want. You could get 10 million signatures and it wouldn't change a thing. The party leadership will never believe that you won't vote for Hillary if Trump is your only other option. The bubble is that thick.
However, if you can mobilize people and get them to march in overwhelming numbers, respond negatively to all public opinion polls, and angrily protest on a daily basis with torches and pitchforks in front of the homes and workplaces of the rich and powerful (even under the threat of arrest), you'll start to see results. If 20,000 angry people were in front of the WH, the headquarters of the Clinton Foundation, the Clinton Library, and Congress every single day, then they might start to believe us.
If you produce something that can be ignored, you can be confident that it will be.
