It's Official Ladies and Gentleman, TOP Has Banned Me. And I Couldn't Be Happier.

Because now I can stop paying attention to them for good. After all the rude comments I got on my GCBW diary, I'm glad it's over. Now they're just one step closer to becoming Orange State.

See ya around,

Disability Caucus Open Thread 5/29/2016: Employment as a Human Right

I'm sure most of you already figured this out about me, but I'm more or less a vehement anti-capitalist. Capitalism is a system that relies heavily on the worst aspects of economies: high unemployment, extreme poverty, wealth consolidation, authoritarian society and regimes, etc. As far as unemployment is concerned, folks with disabilities have a fairly high unemployment rate.

Disability Caucus Open Thread 5/26/2016: Disability Services

Chances are that if you've ever had a disability, you've probably had to deal with disability services and all the red-tape, condescension and down right infantilization that often come with them. And if you're born with acquired disabilities, it actually ends up being a hell of a lot worse. You're never truly seen as a grown up in the eyes of the 'normal' folks, and in many cases it's you who has to make concessions for them, not the other way around.

So Now We're Quitters, Huh? Takes One to Know One.

There's a diary over at TOP (Yeah...don't ask me why I'm even writing about them. Old habits, I suppose.) that accuses those of us who feel the Democratic Party has left us of being quitters. To those folks who believe that I say, 'It takes one to know one.' Why? Well, let's face it: The Democratic Party has been full of quitters since Bill Clinton first took office. Essentially, quitting is all they've ever really done for the last 25 years.

I'm Not Afraid Anymore.

If this entire primary has shown me one thing, it's that those who hold the levers of power want us to be afraid. Very afraid. I saw this in 2004, 2008 and in 2012 as well, but back in those days it wasn't so blatant as it is today. In 2008 I voted for Ralph Nader. And I'd do it again because the moment Obama won the primary that year he ran hard to the right from everything he claimed to support from Single Payer to same-sex marriage.

Is Anyone Else Tired of This Shit?

So this morning I got an email from Hillary Clinton's e-beggars asking me to donate to her campaign. I replied by asking in no uncertain terms why I would even bother donating to a candidate who is so blatantly against my own best interests.

Later on I got this email:

Subject Line: Trump’s disgusting history with women

Incrementalism and Disabilities IV: How Infrastructure is Destroyed Aside: Certification for Employment

I used to write stuff like this at the Dreaded Orange Shitcan..well, I'll be writing them here instead. My only regret is that my followers over there won't know about it. And I'm still on 30 day suspension there so I can't let them know. In any case, shall we begin?

Because We Are Afraid. Ignorant. In Denial. And Because I Wanna Ramble.

Let's just be honest about the situation regarding this electoral clusterfuck: Democratic voters support Hillary Clinton because they're afraid, well, mostly. They're afraid that unless Clinton wins, the Supreme Court will be stacked full of wingnuts who will destroy everything. But what's there to destroy at this point? The Repigs and the Dems have both had their hand in this destruction of the commons for decades.
