$5K per Household?
A recent article from Really American notes that Representative Ro Khanna, during the session on the 29th April that Defense Secretary Hegseth had with the House Armed Services Committee (it lasted 6 hours, that session!), said that there are estimates that the war in Iran is costing each American household $5k. Hegseth said the overall cost is lower, $25 billion instead of $631 billion, but that is still $600 per household. Now, I think it needs to cost each American household $0. In other words, it needs to not be happening!

And, of course, this doesn't even include the costs of the sanctions, the gas/oil/diesel/wev costs, grocery costs, and everything else. So I wonder what the true cost of this Trump crap is? Really? It cost over 100$ to fill the gas tank of our Toyota Tacoma truck yesterday. 100$! And it was over 350$ to go to the grocery store to get 3 bags of groceries, cat litter, some soda pop and toilet paper! Gads!

Spent the last 4 days up at the farm planting tomatoes and such. Did the first mow of the year. Took about 6 hrs, but I broke it up into three days. Used about 2 gallons of diesel fuel at almost 7 dollars a gallon.
Some of the family come up for the day on Saturday and Sunday, so spent some time playin' an fishin'.

Since (as Enhydra Lutis pointed out) this is Star Wars Day, May the 4th be with you, I thought I'd try to put Star Wars to bed here, at least for awhile.

Waiting for War

I think we're in WWIII...the Western imperialists vs. BRICS+. One question is will the US and Israel resume the attacks on Iran? I suspect so. Will Russia finally attack NATO countries aiding Ukraine's drone bombing of their oil infrastructure? Lavrov suggests they might. What about the US true desire to stifle China? Can they really suppress this rising power? I think not. And perhaps the key question, will the global economy collapse with the on set of these hot wars? All this and more below the fold...
