New Excuses: The Bushies Did It So It's OK

Ladies and gentlemen,

As we've seen lately, Her Ladyship (and her shills and bots) has a great excuse for having a private server. Never mind that the way she presents it is as untrue as most of what she says. But her excuse is "Colin Powell did it too".

This has opened up a tremendously exciting new field of excusing and legitimizing actions taken by Hills and other Democrats. I'm very enthused about it!

Uh oh. Hillary just got slammed by State

http://www.nytimes.com/

Top page - Hillary did not have permisso, did not seek permisso, and would not have ever received permisso to use a private mail server.

I do believe the end is neigh for her campaign.

She just doesn't know it.

On edit. I have jury service today. The wee fee is spotty, and did not see the errors of my ways or means (or spelling) until now.

I'm Not Afraid Anymore.

If this entire primary has shown me one thing, it's that those who hold the levers of power want us to be afraid. Very afraid. I saw this in 2004, 2008 and in 2012 as well, but back in those days it wasn't so blatant as it is today. In 2008 I voted for Ralph Nader. And I'd do it again because the moment Obama won the primary that year he ran hard to the right from everything he claimed to support from Single Payer to same-sex marriage.

Warren for Hillary's Running Mate

Say what you will about Elizabeth Warren, but she's a damn sight better than Shillary, and for that reason, Warren would make a better president than her. Alas, she demurred.

Now, there's some buzz about making Warren Hillary's running mate. This comes in light of the Twitter war between Trump and Warren. Certain folks believe that she would make for a good running mate. I wonder why that is?

When Politifact isn't so factual

A PolitiFact piece headlined "Allegations of fraud and misconduct at Nevada Democratic convention unfounded" is going around. I'm not going to link to it because most people have seen it, and I don't want to give it the clicks. But I spent a fair amount of time looking through it last night, and I don't think it is fair. Here are my thoughts.

The best article I've seen on the Democratic Primary

I apologize in advance for this crappy excuse for a diary, but I'm experiencing a repetitive motion-induced pain up and down my arm and really shouldn't be on a keyboard today!

However, I saw a link to this article on Twitter. It's about 3 weeks old. It's the clearest analysis of the election I've seen yet, and I wanted to draw folks' attention to it.

Here it is. I hope it's useful to you guys. The author is clear-headed and honest.
