Election

More, not less, uphill

An ad for something I don't remember said of a spelling bee, in passing as the bee was going on in the background and the ad wasn't for literacy, "...like words you don't need to use anymore" of a four syllable word "ambrosia." That celebrates pig ignorance, encourages pride in stupidity. The ad was, I *think, for food Fast food. Non-GMO poison. Utterly non-nutritious (oh my, another 3-1/2 to 4 syllable word) crap that people use to fill their guts that they don't have to learn how to prepare for themselves. Crap that costs them more than twice what it would if they made it from scratch. Bad nutrition. A veritable (that's four syllables, folks) PAEAN - hymn of praise, not to a deity but to a word, "food". IOW, it's not only a "word you don't need to use anymore" but also ::gasp!:: heresy.

WA-03 race. I need the help of all Washington State registered voters THIS WEEK.

Dear Caucus99Percent Community members in Washington State:

I am running for the US House from the 3rd Congressional District of Washington State.

I am looking at a May 20th Deadline to submit 1,740 validated Washington State registered Voter signatures to the state Secretary of State’s office, to ensure I get on the WA State Primary ballot showing up in voters mailboxes on July 15, 2016.

Open Thread-a-roonie - 4/14/16 - Dems are 29%

The point I'm hoping to make here is that both parties suck, hardly anybody likes them, and it's mind-boggling that somebody put up by organizations that are so disliked will be elected President and that we pretty much have no say in the matter.

Dems and Repubs are both minorities

Bernie predicted to win all but 2 of the remaining states---

PPB (Political People Blog) has a new article out detailing the work of Julian Blair, a statistician and economist from the University of New South Wales in Australia who has been closely monitoring the race here.

Statistical Analyst : Bernie Sanders Will All of The Remaining States Except Two

The key argument Blair makes to PPB is:

2B or knotty B. That is the question

Honestly, I was spoiled by the result in Michigan. I actually, factually thought that Illinois would be berning up the polls yesterday. Pity that he only closed a 23 point gap by 21 points. (which is still a heck of an accomplishment.) Losing to her in her home state? By such much? It makes me wonder what would have happened after another week, given the trend lines.

Per RCP Clinton leads by 205: In 2008 there was a 218 delegate shift to Obama in 40 days.

We have hear plenty from those who say this is all over and Sanders cannot win. I will have more to say about that in a few days, but:

Per RealClearPolitics Clinton has a 205 pledged delegate lead.

No. No we’re not. I’m enjoying your joy. But I am aghast at the “in your face!” comments and the “in your face Markos!” diaries. It reinforces my fears that if Ms. Clinton wins that a good number of Sanders supporters will bail during the general. In fact, in the last 24 hours I’ve seen the worst kos diary I’ve ever seen in my 12 years here. And spare me the “but both sides do it” replies.

DKos: The Purge is Announced!

WARNING: NOT SUITABLE FOR DAILY KOS. Please do not repost there. Thank you.

As I warned our community in my first Diary here on caucus99percent, the day was coming when we would receive a very large influx of new (and recently banned!) users from Daily Kos, and therefore we should be ready to help support them so our esteemed host JtC didn't have to do it all.

OT for Thrusday 'Super Delegates' and all that Jazz

Good morning you 99%'ers. I've been missing in action here lately as I got sucked into the big suck hole of this election at dkos and on FB. I have gone all partisan or have I? I just can't let go. Why should I have to I'm a human, a citizen, a person who cares about the world I'm living in. Still getting bogged down in total crap is demoralizing. I really can't wrap my feeble mind around why I'm having to do this over and over again.
