Bernie

Bernie's emails go into my spam basket.

A tisket, a tasket, my Big Blue Basket. Oh, for the not so distant days when Bernie's half haired, half-shiny pate inspired confidence in those of us, who having the sole political aim of doing right by the people were attracted to the Star of Bernie. His luminosity enlivened those of us bereft of hope (and/or change). With his shining illumination, we could not help but enter a new golden age of civic virtue. But a detour occurred along the way.

Bernie! Bernie!

"He’s too old.

Bullshit.

Subjective and lazy.

Then there’s the canard that he’s some sort of traitor, sellout or sheep dog. More bullshit. This particularly specious whine is advanced by the bitter, callow victims of identity politics. He did his best from inside the democrat machine. Had he run as an independent, he would’ve wound up square dancing in the margins with Jill Stein.

You see what's going on here. Don't you?

OMG. The killer was a Bernie Bro.

Did B ever call for something like this?

Nope.

So the MSM and DNC and the RNC and all those other f'rs Are now blaming the Bern and his millions of supporters for the random act of a nut job?

Too easy. Too stupid.

But yet, this is the world we live in in Murica.

Crap.

To some extent we probably all share the frustration

We've all been driven into the political wilderness by recent events, but it's been coming a long time. At least since Dwight D. Eisenhower gave his most important and most famous speech on Jan. 17, 1961.

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist.”

Are the Young Turks part of the Establishment? Is Bernie now?

Although reading published articles is always much, much faster than watching a video, videos give a much more complete exposition of the subject in almost all cases. So while time-consuming, my preference is for video perhaps because I learn better with the combination of sight and sound. This essay is based upon three recent videos, which will be enumerated below. Watch them if you wish, or perhaps read this essay as is, however you prefer.

Bernie Faith getting very Creative these days

I was actually planning on laying off of the essays for a while, but I recently read a piece by Caitlin Johnstone, a writer I respect and enjoy quite a bit, regarding how Bernie is still important to the the forwarding of Progressive change.
