In the aftermath of American Voters rejecting the False Narrative of "Madame President", which had been spun by MSM, the DNC, and Neolib Establishment for several years now, I think it worth mentioning that a danger exists for the Progressive Movement to fall victim to the very same dynamic.
For a start, we must be brutally honest.
Several Democrats, including many on this site, will tell you working class people voted for Trump because they liked his racism and/or misogyny. They are largely wrong and need to be told as much.
We lost because our coalition broke down. It broke down because the Democratic party has abandoned a key constituency, failing to fight for its interests while nominally paying lip service to their concerns.
Back in March, I published a diary: Pivoting to the center doesn't help if you've been surrounded. It got some play back then, but I had sort of forgotten that piece. Eight month feels like a lifetime ago.
I'm gave up hope on Bernie winning this election back in May of this year.
I'm a first time Democrat because of Bernie. I always knew that republicans were full of shit, and when the check writing scandal of 1992 broke I realized that the Dems were just as full of shit and the whole damn Federal Government was just a get rich slow and steady scheme.

As depressed and despairing as I have been about Bernie's being cheated out of the nomination and his lukewarm campaigning for her, I still love the man. Thus while getting some REAL news, I was YouTubing. It's always fun if you're in the mood for Morphing Reptilian Clones set to destroy the world type things.
