#2016 Election #BernieSanders

The Real Reason the Dem Establishment wants Bernie to get out of the race

People love narratives. And the media love narratives. So lets compare two possible narratives going into the next Dem primary (either 2020 if HRC loses to Trump or 2024 if she becomes the president (keep in mind that these are political narratives, they are not necessarily true)

Narrative 1:

I got banned today by the Big Orange Thingy

I wrote a diary last night and set it to auto publish at 8am this morning. Everything went as planned. Within an hour my diary was on the rec list. I left the house around 11:30am to go protest with MoveOn.Org at Senator Cruz's office here in Dallas, took some pictures, hung out for a while and then came back home, excited to write a new diary about protesting Senator Cruz. (I really despise Cruz).

Another Declaration of Independence

Thomas Jefferson said that for the good of democracy we need "a little rebellion now and then."

The political system is corrupt, and trying to fix our choices between a hard-right candidate and a fully-fledged fascist.

Nuts to that.

As President Jefferson would suggest, let's rebel instead. Consider signing the Move-on petition below to encourage Sen. Sanders to continue his campaign beyond the primary, if necessary, as an independent.

Make Tom proud!

Bernie's YUUGE rally in Salt Lake City yesterday

Could not find an open thread this morning, so please excuse this video post. Bernie Sanders spoke to an estimated 14,000 supporters yesterday afternoon in Salt Lake City, Utah (the reporter on KSL-TV News guessed 10,000, but the more accurate number came from the staff at This is The Place Heritage Park).

Path forward

There are many essays today on where we go from here. A lot of good comments have been posted and my intent is to merely provide perspective. It has been mentioned that we are just past the halfway point and there are a lot of delegates left. The media, Clinton campaign and DNC will be trying to shut down the campaign and force Bernie out of the race.

DFA rallies the troops for Bernie

Just got this e-mail from Charles Chamberlain, Executive Director of Democracy for America (excerpt):

The results of the Super Tuesday 2 elections are in, and our political revolution is right where it needs to be -- and in a far better place than you might think, if you've been listening to the establishment media.
