heh, mose always had his finger on the pulse of society.

the peter rowan album is mid-eighties, so post old & in the way, post seatrain and back into his bluegrass roots. he did some great stuff in the eighties and nineties that got shockingly little attention, though he's always been a favorite on the festival circuit.

Mose knows, just look at that vacant room in the minds of the two-faced fat cats on the cover.

heh, my favorite funk is new orleans funk - and it's probably the most "accessible" funk going. check out the meters and the dirty dozen brass band, if you feel your foot tapping or any other body parts threatening to pick themselves up and create movement - you've just "gotten" funk.

that said, mose is definitely cool.
