I know a lot of folks here are not very interested in electric vehicles, for whatever reason. Many are like me who just love the sound of a powerful V-8 going through the gears. Motorheads they call us. And I still roll out my '99 Vette several times a year when the weather is nice, or when we have to go multi-state for one reason or another.

It is interesting to me that there's no discussion of the illegal nature of the strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, but instead the argument is about the degree to which the strike degraded Iran's nuclear program. Oddly enough, I'm hoping Trump's false narrative of "Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Have Been Obliterated" holds. If that becomes the accepted position then there's no reason to strike Iran again. However, the Neocons aren't having it. They finally achieved their "Bomb, Bomb Iran" moment and they want more. Meanwhile the Ukraine proxy war has faded from the news cycle...in part because Ukraine is losing.

This week we've got one great harmonica player and two great guitarists for you. Starting off we've got Harmonica George Smith fronting the band Bacon Fat in the early 1970's. After that we have guitar wizard Roy Buchanan's early recordings before he was a famous unknown. Finishing up we've got a mid '80's solo album from Richard Thompson an interesting and inventive guitarist.

I had not been to the zoo in a while( March to be exact) so I stopped by for a few hours last Saturday morning. Normally I stay away from the zoo on the weekends because of the large crowds but since I had other business in Balboa Park (the zoo is located in the park) later in the day I bit the bullet and braved the large horde of humanity. Initially, I didn't think I captured anything worthwhile, but upon further review at home on the computer I found these half dozen worth posting.

The song, Wooden Ships, was written in 1968 by David Crosby and Stephen Stills of Crosby Stills and Nash fame, and Paul Kantner of the band Jefferson Airplane. My personal favorite of the two songs that were recorded was the Airplane version from 1969 on the album Volunteers.
The song was about a group of nuclear war survivors adrift on a wooden ship after both sides of the conflict were annihilated. After survivors of both sides meet one another, one ask of the other, "Can you tell me, please, who won?"
Three days after a cease fire agreement in what is being called The 12-Day War between Israel and Iran, I am asking that same question.
