Let me prefix this with the fact that I do not condone war in the Ukraine, Yemen, Syria or elsewhere.
This US and its lemmings have gone into bizzaro world. Sanction happy nations and entities are trying to outdo each other.
All over America, people are concerned and outraged at Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
And they should be, because the invasion was unnecessary. In fact, the levels of concern and outrage are so universal that it might be the number one bipartisan, uniting feature in America today.

About a month ago a Saudi air strike on a detention centre in north-western Yemen, according to Doctors without Borders, killed at least 80 people and injured over 200. The laser-guided bomb used in the attack was manufactured by Raytheon.

Prelude: The Conservative Majority, 1966 -- 2000: George Wallace, Spiro Agnew and Richard Nixon successfully expanded the grumbling right wing Goldwaterite attacks on "the liberal media," to forge a lasting electoral majority for the GOP and the occasional un-liberal Democrat like Bill Clinton. The passage of the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts by Lyndon Johnson were the high water mark for FDR liberalism, and from then on overt racism dominated American politics for three decades.
Most racism is subtle, subjective and interpretive.
But it seems that in all of the excitement over a major war the media has slipped up and said the quiet part out loud: Our in-your-face Racist Double Standards when it comes to war.
