The company that created its entire brand on the idea they weren't invasive like Google, just decided to be invasive like Google. Responses were overwhelmingly negative. Those defending the decision were ratio'd into oblivion.
Just a few months ago it appeared that COVID and vaccine mandates were going to be the biggest issues for the November 2022 elections.
It now appears that this perspective will seem quaint.

I was doing a bit of research a few days ago; refreshing my memory about certain aspects of the end of the western Roman empire. I couldn't remember which tribe the General, Stilicho, came from. I was too lazy to go downstairs to my library and find out the info there, so I looked it up on Wikipedia, as researchers will do when in a hurry for a piddling detail, or, being lazy.
Yesterday I pointed out how the Biden Administration is now talking to the legitimate government of Venezuela, a government that Washington doesn't actually recognize, in order to get their oil flowing again.
Today the spin started.
