From the International Socialist Review: "The Book of the Hour
Good morning all. How about some good news for your day? (A version of this is also up at TOP.)
Hope you are up for some good news for a change, news of our fellow citizens taking it to the streets.....
Now that the FBI has moved from their fact-finding mission regarding the use of a private server for Clinton's communications while Secretary of State, and the resulting discovery of top secret information found on it, the U.S. State Department has suspended their internal review so as not to conflict with the ongoing criminal investigation.
Hi there. Probably a few of you know something about me, but if you don’t, I’ve been posting at this site [refers to TOP] a long time, since 2005. Written a hell of a lot of diaries or stories or posts. You want to know my real name? Go to my profile page. It’s right there. Or read this post I wrote when I stopped being anonymous here at Daily Kos.
Yesterday was International Transgender Day of Visibility. I've had some concern with the existence of a single day for that. I pretty much try to make transgender issues and/or people visible every day.
In honor of the event, there were some special presentations.
In the UK, the beautiful people put together a video.
The video was produced by Jake Graf of the Danish Girl and features model Laith Ashley, blogger Evie Andrew, YouTube veteran Kieran Maloney, DJ/model Munroe Bergdorf and British Army Officer Captain Hannah Winterbourne:
The issue of how Speaker Clinton finances her campaign, and the contrast with the small-donation funded Bernie campaign, is not going away, and it should not. Our campaign finance system is a big driver of the Great Inequality because it leads to unequal policy outcomes that both create and exacerbate the economic and other inequality. Who really believes that Big Money does not poison our democracy? Citizens Union was just the latest victory for the billionaires.

First this somewhat breaking news from ex-MSNBC Alum, now working for Al Jazeera America: the possible charges against Hillary Clinton and her staff will likely happen, sooner as opposed to later:
A lot of people the other day made hay over a poll showing that Hillary supporters were more enthusiastic than Bernie supporters . I think they spoke to roughly 600 people in total but it was like very significant, statistically speaking, at least according to the pollster, Gallup.
If you plan to vote in the upcoming primaries in Wisconsin, New York and Pennsylvania here is a list of things you should do to make certain you can vote and that your vote will be counted.

Vanessa LoBue, assistant professor of psychology at Rutgers-Newark, has contributed an article at The Conversation that was forwarded to me. When do children develop their gender identity?
It turns out that for young children, initial concepts about gender are quite flexible. In my own research, I’ve found that children don’t begin to notice and adopt gender-stereotyped behaviors (e.g., preferring colors like pink or blue) until the age of two or three. A few years later, their concept of gender becomes quite rigid, and although it becomes more relaxed by middle childhood, even adults have trouble going back to thinking about gender as something that’s flexible.

Bernie in Pittsburgh talking about job-killing trade deals.
Flanked by local labor leaders [President Mike Smith of the United Steelworkers Local 1557-2 and President Scott Slawson of the United Electrical Workers Local 506] and Pennsylvania workers, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Thursday said trade deals he opposed and Hillary Clinton supported have devastated Pennsylvania manufacturing and hurt working families.
This epic-rant happened when Bernie was telling Rachel Maddow, 'what he really thinks' about the Corporate Media's
kid-glove 1-dimension treatment of Donald Trump when it comes to his positions on the Issues.
This happened at Sanders' recent Townhall event on MSNBC, with Ms Maddow moderating.

Good morning, my dear friends of c99, from a rainy morning in southern Ontario. Great weather for ducks. My primary interest is spirituality and I really should get to it sometimes, eh :=) I would like to show you a drawing by my daughter the genius illustrator (this is called Dad-bragging.) I think mostly in images and I asked her to draw the tree of consciousness image that lives in me. More below.
The power and influence of the mercenary army known as Blackwater peaked in the summer of 2007. Their immense might was clearly demonstrated when the State Department deployed Jean Richter to Iraq to audit the firm's $1 Billion contract with the Pentagon.

From the editorial staff:
Well we've finally decided on a candidate to endorse. We've been waiting to see who would turn out to be more electable. Turns out it was Bernie.
As Larry Wilmore says frequently about Bill Cosby, I haven't forgotten.
The United States tortures. It has tortured non-combatants and innocents without scruple or a break (yeah, that means YOU Mr. Obama) since at least 9/11. The reason that the remaining Guantanamo detainees can not be released from indefinite detention, a lifetime behind barbed wire without a warrant or trial, is because they have been tortured and will testify to it under oath in a real Court of Law and not some Kangaroo Star Chamber Secret Military Tribunal which expressly forbids that testimony. In a real Court statements extracted by torture are no evidence at all, except against the Torturers who in my opinion should rot in Spandau for the rest of their lives in the cells that used to hold Nazis.
Indiana may have lost to the Tarheels in the NCAA tournament, but Indiana Republicans are going all out to prove that nobody is as bigoted as they are.
Sen. Jim Tomes introduced SB 35 in January which prohibits schools from ever allowing transgendder students from using restrooms that correspond to their gender identity...but goes much further. The bill legally defines a person's gender as determined as that which is assigned to the person at birth and their chromosomes.
[T]he bill mandates that any transgender person who uses a public sex-specific restroom, locker room, or shower room that matches their gender identity has committed a “single sex public facility trespass,” which it deems a Class A misdemeanor. A Class A misdemeanor is the highest non-felony charge in Indiana, punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $5,000 dollars.
The misdemeanor charge would not apply to a student at a school, a person under the age of 18, or the usage of any private residence facility.

From the United Mine Workers Journal: A Day in a Trial of Colorado Miners
The failed Iraq war that Mrs. Clinton voted for, without even taking the time to read the national intelligence estimate, is helping to contribute to 22 military veteran suicides a fucking day. No, I'm not implying that it is all Hillary's fault, only indicating her lack of leadership abilities, by not reading the NIE before she voted to give GWB carte blanch to launch an ILLEGAL war against a country that did not attack us, nor threaten our national sovereignty.
