You have to understand that, come March 15, the Clinton we all know and love, courtesy of Doug Henwood’s accurate biography My Turn, will be replaced by a brand new Clinton. She’ll be experienced (but not “at what?”), capable (but not “of what?”) and competent (but not “at what?”).

So, this is just my personal philosophical take on it, but IMHO the basic Newtonian laws of physics apply to political action.

Over the past couple of days, a deluge of people suddenly signed up for the site, over 100 of them in a 2 hour period.
We had no idea you all were going to drop in all at once and it caught our server by surprise. We've upgraded to a new server with more bandwidth and so far everything looks good.
The person to thank for this quick migration of the site is Johnny the Conqueroo (JtC). He is the one-man tech department that brought this site into existence and has very ably made it work for everybody. Please give him a round of applause.
I hear it all the time. We transgender people just have to wait for our time; We're just too new.
A team of trans people are busy putting the lie to that. We've Been Around is series of documentary shorts that chronicle the lives of Lucy, STAR, Albert, Little Ax, and Lou. They are directed by Rhys Ernst, produced by Christine Beebe and the narration is done by transgender people. The team includes Transparent actress Alexandra Billings, writer and filmmaker Susan Stryker and trans historian Monica Roberts.

As I warned our community in my first Diary here on caucus99percent, the day was coming when we would receive a very large influx of new (and recently banned!) users from Daily Kos, and therefore we should be ready to help support them so our esteemed host JtC didn't have to do it all.
There's a particular brand of cowardice that's uniquely American.
There have been many versions of cowardice over the years, but throughout history, it's never been presented and accomplished in this wholly American and incredibly hypocritical manner. It may perhaps end up being our lasting legacy to the world, something that truly has not been present in the human psyche before the rise of our empire.
