I like Joe Romm, the founder of Climate Progress, who has done a lot to attempt to bring attention to the most threatening crisis of our times, climate change, and our political failure to address it. Unfortunately, he has a serious blind spot in his analysis of how our two major political parties view the issue.

On January 1, two water protectors climbed a truss in the US Bank stadium during a Vikings game in Minneapolis and unfurled a banner that said "Divest" and "NoDAPL" and featured the bank's logo. It was audacious and elegant, and social media lit up with video and images from inside the stadium.

This lie has pissed me off about six times a day for the past three years. It's the worst form of Nazi-inspired, anti-communist, US propaganda. It is of the same calibre as the Nazi-style attempt to portray Russians as hacking the 2016 US elections — and deflect the blame from Hillary and the DNC who were warned they would lose if they tried to force this despised candidate on America.. So, I'm going to get it off my chest on the first work day of 2017.

Been a little down over the last few weeks or so, thought it might be time to take stock and count blessings...

So much to be thankful for this New Year! Still breathing and, whoa, still married.... last week it was 46 years! We both have survived critical illnesses and really want to see SS, Medicare, or Medicaid get improved. Will work for that!
