Some of you have noted and engaged with me in speculation about who, exactly, has been involved in deleting those 30K or so 'personal' emails. It turns out that Cheryl Mills played a BIG role in this. Hat Tip to Caerus for this link which describes some of Mills' role and names Samuelson.

Some of you may be wondering why I've started making these nearly daily essays on what's been happening with Jill Stein's run for president.

The basic reason is simple. Besides Jill Stein's reddit and possibly facebook presence, there really is no way for people interested in Jill Stein to track her progress and what is going on with her campaign. Without that, people easily fall into the impression that not much is happening with the campaign, and they lose interest quickly.

Slicklion at Tranzgender has compiled a list of cities with the largest transgender populations. I do not know from where this information was gleaned, nor do I believe it is particularly accurate.

But share it I shall. Tranzgender has added recommendations about places to transition.

I watched a recent video from the people's protest of the pipeline. Some really fine Americans are out there fighting for you and I. We need to get behind them and stand alongside them in what ever way we can.

Over at Naked Capitalism there's an article on a 9th Circuit ruling that effectively deregulates companies that provide services on the internet:

I feel somewhat compelled to be specific. Not the big pile of masonry in the Western part of China that you can see from Space. Not the huuge beautiful one on the Southern border of the United States that the Mexicans are going to pay for. Nope, the every bit as ambitious and likely to be just as ineffectual one in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, around the rotting radioactive ruins of the Daiichi Power Station.

For 5 and a bit years now ground water has been flooding in through the holes in the 3 containment units that suffered a nuclear melt down. There would have been more but those were the only ones in operation at the time. The water in turn has become quite radioactive itself and they've been pumping it into rusty and leaking tanks that now occupy most of the space at the site.

Well, they still have no idea what to do about that, but for the last couple of years or so they've been trying to cut off the incoming streams by freezing the soil to permafrost. How's that working out for them?
