I apologize in advance for this crappy excuse for a diary, but I'm experiencing a repetitive motion-induced pain up and down my arm and really shouldn't be on a keyboard today!

However, I saw a link to this article on Twitter. It's about 3 weeks old. It's the clearest analysis of the election I've seen yet, and I wanted to draw folks' attention to it.

Here it is. I hope it's useful to you guys. The author is clear-headed and honest.

Always interesting to hear how Clinton will crush Trump in the General Election- it will be a landslide. People and pundits say that Trump is a terrible candidate and Hillary has the experience and skills to be the first woman president. Well guess what, another poll showing a close race and even with Trump leading. Please note young voter information and independents.

How we organize ourselves is critically important.
If we organize ourselves around cooperative principles, we will mostly act cooperatively.
However, if we organize ourselves around competitive principles, competition will ensue.
Now, at a societal level, western society as a whole is organized based on competition, and particularly, war as the ultimate competition.
Our task is to reorganize our local communities along cooperative principles so as to become more resilient in a world gone mad facing unstoppable climate change. However, we must be clear in our minds about this: we cannot recreate more resilient local communities using the same competitive principles that created the mess we're in:

The corporation has no place in the human future: it is a sociopathic invention by pathologically greedy people to rob society blind.

Co-ops are the primary vehicle for weaning a local community off of corporations. The only legal forms of conducting in towns should be single-owner, partnership, and co-op. More below.

Liz Warren is possibly the smartest person in Washington. She's already proven herself to be effective, which does not require further emphasis by me. She does an exquisite job at skewering self-serving, sociopathic Banksters, Federal Revolving Door bureaucrats, Koch-suckers. She gets under the skin of Donald Trump like no one else can (three cheers for that attribute alone).

This will be my last mention of DK. Call it my reason for boycotting/striking and refusing to click on it in the future. I did want to document for history the type of flaming and bullshit that led to this decision. From here on in, back to the issues. The main issue I have is that the official Democratic Party has gone full fascist.
