Out of all the progressive [mainstream] bloggers during this primary season, I have found Greg Sargent at WaPo to be pretty fair. Paul Waldman, who subs for him, often has sarcastic comments about Bernie and his supporters, but Sargent is pretty fair overall. No gratuitous bs or shade thrown. I think his post this afternoon could be correct that the endgame is here or, at least, it is beginning.
About five weeks ago I approached the subject of Obamacare here. My point was that Obamacare, while maybe better than nothing, was a deeply flawed reform bill.
Since then there has been several studies and developments that you probably will never see on the GOS.
A PolitiFact piece headlined "Allegations of fraud and misconduct at Nevada Democratic convention unfounded" is going around. I'm not going to link to it because most people have seen it, and I don't want to give it the clicks. But I spent a fair amount of time looking through it last night, and I don't think it is fair. Here are my thoughts.
Does that sound funny to you? Think about it. It has been happening for a long time for a lot of people in this country. Bernie has been energizing people who have stayed at home in the past because they see a real choice in him.
I learned something from President Obama that I shall never forget. I learned that I am not as smart as I think I am. I learned that I forget hard learned lessons. Let me explain.
I honestly do not know what to do. My “real-life” friends and family are not as politically passionate as I, which is probably why I sought out to find “my people” on the internet in the first place. These are people who had a Community Quilt made for me when I was struggling with my older brother's death and trying by myself to get the house cleaned and sold. These are the people who gave me the money to move when I was forced from my apartment because I asked for help for my disabled brother.
