Well, well, well. Looks like the MSM is trying to spice things up a bit from the dull Bataan Death March to November.
Hopefully, this poll can't be freeped. I have a couple of Twitter pals I'd like to share it with. ![]()

Last Friday night I posted an essay stating that c99p was for sale. It was met with an overwhelming response from the membership that I did not expect. Only meant as a feeler to see if there was any interest in buying the site, it evolved into an effort to save c99p as it stands. My response to that effort was an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love for you folks. Man, I did not expect that, and it touched me deeply. I knew some folks liked this place, but wow, did I underestimate the impact that this site has had on the members who use it. I was just blown away! You folks are the best!
With of that said, after getting many solid inquiries into buying it, the decision is:

As you are probably well aware, the US Government is gridlocked, which means that for years and years, nothing has been getting done.
However, because of the appropriations for "High Speed Rail" in 2009 and 2010, things are being done right now. "Bullet train" High Speed Passenger Rail services often grab the headlines (and you can watch a fairly hokey California HSR Authority youtube video on what they did in the first six months since construction started), but much of the actual services that we will see starting up in the final years of this decade will be work on or preparation for the "Rapid Passenger Rail" services that upgrade top speed from the sluggish conventional US corridor speed of 79mph to 110mph or more.
The primary Rapid Passenger Rail project is the Chicago to Saint Louis "HSR", which will cut about an hour from the present five and a half hour trip. The majority of this project will be completed next year, though some work will continue into 2018. Other projects are underway in Michigan, on the Northeast Corridor, and in the Pacific Northwest.
Well, seems Huma has a "Big Dog" problem.
Let's see.

Really?
First he was Carlos Danger. Now — in yet another sexting scandal — he’s a randy “mongoose.”
I've bumped into this tidbit now in close to a dozen locations, so Tim Cook's public relations team has been busy... Apparently, Tim likes to name drop about who gives him advice, and one of those names today, is Bill Clinton. Given how much we've learned this year about paying to play, this led me to wonder what sort of cash has changed hands.
